The first of 8 interludes!
Shauna stood before Calem and Serena with the bitter taste of defeat, and sand, plaguing her mouth. The child was quite surprised that one of his followers had returned not just empty-handed, but badly bruised and beaten as well. Shauna was his second favorite minion (next to Serena) so the fact she was so easily felled was shocking to say the least.
"So based upon what you've told us, it didn't go well?" asked Serena.
"Yes, please forgive me for my failure, sir." Begged Shauna.
"Fear not, Shauna, all is forgiven." Calem consoled to Shauna.
"Even if you didn't retrieve him, your encounter with the Hero is enough to prove that his strength is formidable. I suppose it is to be expected, of course. Ti!" He said, turning to the goth.
"I request that you go after Larry, wherever he is now."
"I will," said Ti, as he ran out of the room.

Emerging through the door, Larry and Alicia found themselves back in the lab.
"Professor X! We return with a beacon of hope in hand!" Alicia called out. This woman knew Professor X.
Next to Professor X was a girl. As supposed to Alicia, this girl had medium length blue hair tied up in two twin tails with emerald colored eyes. As for clothes, she wore a white skirt, with a blue shirt, and dark blue tennis shoes.
"What's that girl's name?" asked Larry.
"That's Mable," said Professor X. "She's my assistant."
"Will you join me," asked Larry. "And help me collect the remaining 6 Love Crystals?"
"Yes." said Mable, nodding her head.
"Where to find the next?" asked Larry.
"I'm told the next lies within a forest filled with pixies." said Professor X. He snapped his fingers and another door appeared.
"Go through this door, to the forest!"
With an air of excitement leading the way, the Heroes passed into the door into the forest.
