Act 1 part 2: A New Friend

Welcome to Act 1 Part 2, people! A new friend in this part! Here, Larry meets a new friend!
In a task far greater than any, Larry was going to save Kalos. This, of course, would not be a small task. Could he really prevent Calem from from pulling off his sinister plot? This question buzzed through Larry's brain as he transversed the very fabrics of space to the start of a truly inter-dimensional adventure.
Act 1, Part 2: A New Friend
Larry exited the door. The world of Route One was typical: grass everywhere, colorful flowers, tall hills, the usual.
Larry walked, admiring the beautiful world.
Aside from flowers and one species of tree, there was little to no life.
Then the walk turned into a run.
He hummed to himself a song:
"Let's wrap a blanket 'round us
And go flyin' into outer space
We could be famous, speak a different language
Make our great escape
I'll chase the stars inside your eyes
And follow you into the great unknown
We'll be alone
So let's just play pretend and find a secret place
When the world around us says that we should act our age

And build a city, something out of nothing
Make this place a home, a home

He felt himself ram against something and his legs gave out from the impact.
"Don't hurt me!" He cried out, embracing for a hostile encounter.

A voice in front of him made the same plea in unison to his own, but it sounded forced and like it had been rehearsed many times before. He opened his eyes to a figure feigning weakness. The figure's body language was enough to call out their charade, which quickly melted off when they observed the man and his lack of aggression.

The crouching figure looked at Larry with disgust as they stood up.
"My name is Alicia." said the figure, er, woman.
She had long red hair, along with sapphire-colored eyes.
She wore a orange dress, reaching her knees, with black tights. On her feet were pretty orange shoes.
"Nice to meet you Alicia." said Larry to the mysterious lady.
Larry didn't want to be rude or anything, but the lady was dressed for Halloween.
"Thank you," said Alicia.  "I sense a Love Crystal ahead in route 2. To get there is a large desert called 'Sugar.' I'll join you."
With a new best friend, Larry walked towards the end of Route 1. Following him was a lady, loyal to the end and ready to face the scorching heat and blistering sand alongside her new best friend.
