Chapter 7

Mei's POV

I wake up at 7 and just lay there thinking,

yesterday I was me I was regular Mei that nobody cared about, now I'm different

I wasn't going to be normal anymore I was going to be a royal

I groan and shove my face in my pillow, How the heck did I get myself into this? and then I remembered something before the robbery when we almost kissed.

I groan even louder, I had never had a boyfriend before, my mother always said that I had to depend on myself that I shouldn't depend on some boy to take care of me and yet, here I was marrying a dumb boy for money. 

She would not be happy about this

I check my phone to check the time, 7:22 the flight would leave at 9 so I had an hour before I had to go

I decide to get up and get dressed 

I put on a white top, shorts, and a black dress coat on top

normally I would wear this to job interviews, but I have to look professional today

I eat some toast before heading to the campus entrance

I walk there to see Anh sitting on one of the seats

"Mei!" she yells

I walk over to her and sit down on the bench

"So," she says "Are we gonna talk about this or not?"

"Talk about what?" I ask

"You know what I mean, what happened before the robbery"

my cheeks flush and I look away

"There's nothing to talk about" 

"Mhm yeah," she said unconvincingly

"So you guys weren't about to kiss?" she asks

my cheeks flush even more

"I don't know what you're talking about h-he was teaching me how t-to dance" I stutter

she smiles, knowing that I'm lying

I stand back up and dust my coat off

"Where's our car?" I ask

suddenly a black limousine pulls up in front of us

"Oh heck no" I scoff

"Well do you have another car we can take?" she asks

I sigh before getting into the car, Li and Yon are already there

"Hey," he says

"Hi" I respond
