Recovery

Marinette POV:

My eyes fluttered open slowly, I was in a white, clean room, with a heavy chunk of plastic on my face. After looking around me for a minute more, I remembered what had happened. Just then, a doctor in a white coat entered the room. He smiled when he saw that I was awake.

I smiled uncertainly back at him. "Ah, Marinette.  I have a few questions that I have to ask you before we can let you go back home, just to check that you are alright."

I nodded slowly, not wanting to get dizzy.

"What is your name?" Seriously? That's his question? Ok.

"Marinette Dupain-Chang." I answer immediately. He nodded, checking something off on his clipboard. He continued to ask me other obvious questions before he smiled at me warmly and walked out, my parents came in, looking nervous.

After hugs, kisses and many tears, we arrived back home. I smiled as I saw the familiar place. However, I stopped dead when I saw a familiar blonde-haired boy standing outside the bakery, looking at his watch and gazing around. His eyes locked on me and a relieved smile spread across his face.

"Marinette!" Adrien yelled happily, rushing towards me and engulfing me in a bone-crushing hug.

I grinned and hugged him back. Just imagine he's Chat. Just imagine he's Chat. Just imagine he's Chat. Just imagine he's Chat! I thought frantically.

"You came to see me?" I asked, curious.

Adrien POV:

She looks at me, cocking her head slightly to the right. She looked adorable.
"Ummm-er"

C'mon Adrien! Don't start stuttering now!
"Yeah. You're my best friend. Of course, I came to see you."

A perfect smile lit up her face, and for a moment, I was lost in her gorgeous bluebell eyes. Wait. What? Yes her eyes are gor- beautiful but she's just a friend.

"Umm, Adrien?" she asked, waving a hand in front of my face quizzically. My eyes snapped up to see her giggling to herself.

I rubbed the back of my neck nervously and laughed along with her.
