For a few next days, Harry focused on finishing the whole art collection for this expensive apartment of Louis'. He went to see New York and now he realises he cannot postpone his work anymore.

On the other hand, Louis fully focused on his divorce. He needed to get a proper look into the plan his lawyer did and practise his mind so he wouldn't forget all the lines and slightly bent truth they came up with during the long and intensive meetups. But this time, the meetups weren't through the Zoom calls, but outside of the flat. Louis and his lawyer worked in exclusive restaurants with private tables, so he was not home a lot now.

To say both men were busy is an understatement.

They mostly fully reunited during dinner. Since Harry was working inside of a flat and could finish whenever he wanted, he always texted Louis when the man will come home. Louis always answered promptly when, and he always did come home on time. Harry had dinner ready by then and they sat together in the kitchen and talked about their day. After dinner, Louis finally could relax a bit, cuddling with Peanut in the living room, while Harry cleaned the kitchen and later on, joined them. They watched TV until late at night - thankfully for Harry, Louis found a TV show that was not about true crimes, so the curly man was happily into the plot.

However, today Louis finally remains at home, not meeting up with his lawyer. It's only 2 days until the divorce, and Louis is fairly nervous because it's so close - and he will meet Eleanor again. And Liam, too. He doesn't know if Penelope will be here or if Eleanor leaves her with her mother in the UK, but he just secretly wishes she brings Penelope here. Louis is dying to see her.

The realisation he won't get her baby girl into her custody is settling in his brain quickly and mercilessly these days. It's eating him alive, but he knows it's not the end of the world. At best, if he apologises to Eleanor, and makes an ally out of her, they can settle some kind of sharing calendar where Louis gets to have Penelope for some period of time. Maybe for a whole month even, and if he is lucky enough, Harry would help him with her.

But what he truly wants is a divorce with no major damages. And he is nervous it won't happen. He is anxious Eleanor will dramatise the whole thing.

And of course, he talked about all of these feelings with Harry because Harry is such a nice listener, it's insane.

Louis is trying to make some easy lunch for them while Harry is halfway into the last canvas, painting abstract composition with gold, black and white colours.

"Now what do I have to do with the soup?" Louis asks through all the noise from the cooker hood and music they put on.

"Stir it and then put a little bit of pepper," Harry instructs offhandedly, not even looking off of the canvas.

"And now?" Louis asks again after a minute or so.

"Leave it on a low for a while."

Louis puts the gas stove on the lowest and sighs contently. This is making him the happiest he has ever been, it's like a really nice dream and he never wants it to end. He feels like he is surrounded in such a calm, relaxed and loved environment, where he is free from any judgement or contempt. He never really lived in such a setting.
