Hi, who am I? No one special. I'm not new to Wattpad, but as a writer I am. I was always the one reading and admiring other people's stories and wondering how confident they were to even post their stories. Here on this very cliche filled app, not everyone is a writer, yet we all have a story to tell and that's what's important. Regardless of how cliche and unoriginal a story may be someone still had the confidence to publish their book because there will always be someone on this app who will find your story interesting. Also, because it's your story, no one else can tell it, like you can. Even if you have terrible Grammer and spelling or do not understand the full concept of drafting a story at all.So, who am I? My name is Ekettee, first names only duh, because personal info are meant to be personal. I'm a regular nineteen-year-old Liberian, West African girl who lives in the US, New England. You figure out which one of the tri-states I'm in. I'm a simi certified pharmacy tech, and I'm in college. Not your regular four-year college of course. I attend a community college. Not because I'm dumb or poor. I was top of my class (only black girl btw) and had a high school gpa of 3.7. Not bragging, but I just thought why pay so much money for something you can get somewhere else for cheap. I think it's a smart decision. I got into all the colleges I applied to, but community college was always my first choice.
I'm Christian, was born and raised in my home country and moved to the states when I was thirteen. Against my will if I may add. I mean, who parents tell them one week before moving across the globe to an overrated country? we could've gone anywhere in the world, but no. America it was. Anyways I'm a proud Liberian/African and Immigrant.
After moving to a whole new country against my will, little did I know that the people in this country knew little to nothing about where I was from. Or what life was like. The little they thought they knew was ignorant and was learned from the media. Western media if I may. Yet back home, people put America on a pedestal. I could go on about life as an immigrant kid in the Us, but we will be saving that tea for the next chapter.
If my profile hasn't already told you, I'm just a 4c haired, semi darkskin girl who enjoys spending time with God and growing my relationship with him. I also enjoy a good kdrama, which, the old kdramas are simply better than the new ones. Oldies like "Reply 1988 (btw, 1988 is superior to the other reply dramas.), Strong woman Bong soon, Goblin, Fight my Way, Welcome to Waikiki, Descendants of the Sun, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, The Heirs, W, Healer, Legend of the Blue Sea.... etc. etc... If you know, you know. Old Kdramas are where it's at. But some of my fav newer ones, that's not stupid, are. "Itaewon Class, Hi Bye mama, was it Love, True Beauty (this one is debatable because of the ending). I could go on. But I love reading webtoons and watching medical and first responder shows. And I spend most of my free time on Pinterest. (It's my favorite social app). I'm a huge DC and Marvel fan. You can call me a stan I guess.
I used to be so into K-pop. But I grew out of it. Don't get me wrong. The songs will always be a bob. And my favs will forever be my favs but, it just isn't the same anymore plus, I don't really listen that much to secular music anymore. Top 5 groups, BTS, Got7 (can't believe they disbanded.) BTOB, Kard, Seventeen, DPR Live, Day6, Monsta x (They did Won ho dirty.) and Ikon (they did B.I dirty, and June is my fav). Lol that was more than five. And of course, I would not be West African If I didn't like Afrobeats. You cannot change my mind that it's the best genre of music. Also, my Christian playlists hits hard. Hit me up if you want those.
