Chapter fifteen- real or not

My life as I know it is practically over .OVER. It's not like it's even my fault, I didn't let Charlie run away just like I didn't make Katerina fall flat on her face in a newly developed coma.

My parents are pissed and I mean pissed, so much so they've cut off my credit cards and took my personal driver away like I'm the one to blame for all this shit!

Screw them, and screw my siblings, God I wish I were an only child! And I was for a while before mother and father adopted Octavia, Kat and Charlie, they are all blood siblings. I have no idea what happened to their biological parent, the twins were babies when their bio mom died and Octavia won't talk about it but she was only three years old at the time.

I was sitting in my sisters room at like 2am with a cheap cup of coffee and my phone in hand, with all this going on I couldn't help admiring my newly done nails, shame Kat fainted.

All of a sudden I got a call from an unknown number so I answered, of course I did, you never know how important or life changing one phone call can truly be, that's what my father says anyway.

"Hello?" I answered, taking a sip of the bitter coffee, I reluctantly left my seat to leave my sister's bedside for a little wander around the empty- ass hospital.

"Emily, it's Cassie, I~" she began but I cut her off

"Who?" I asked, I ain't good with names of unimportant people

I heard a sigh coming from the other end "Cassie. Y'know, the girl who ran off with Charlie... your brother, if you have forgotten who that is as well"

I snapped my fingers at the memory of the red-headed girl who smashed my mother's plate "ah you. the clumsy one. Well, what do you want? Cash? Because I've been tragically cut off"

"What? No! I don't want no money, it's Charlie, he's passed out and I can't wake him up" she explained

Wait- Katerina AND Charlie are in some sort of coma? Is this a twin thing?

"Where are you? I'll meet you." I said and she told me her whereabouts so I made my way back to Katerina's room to get my jacket and to my astonishment, Kat was On her feet out of bed, pulling the wires that were connected to her off her body.

She was weak, I knew that; I grabbed her curvy figure and placed her back in her bed however it deemed difficult by her protesting.

"Stop it, Em! I gotta find Cole!" She claimed , escaping my grasp

"What?" I questioned, she just woke up and she's talking about some boy? Huh.. I didn't know Cole that was friends with Kat so me being the good sister that I am, decided I'd ask "who's Cole?"

She was about to tell me a lie, I knew in was a lie because she scrunched up her nose like she does when she is lying but she stopped and thought hard about the truth "we met in the the chambre de la chasse, when I was in the coma"

"Right. Kat I think you need help" Oh no. I prayed this wouldn't happen to her! She was always my favourite but now she's lost her mind just like Octavia

Katerina's phone viciously vibrated on the table and surprise- surprise, it was Octavia. speak of the devil.

This made no sense.. via was in mental institution for crazy people like her.. how on earth did she escape?

"Hello?"  Katerina said before putting it on speaker so I could also hear the conversation

I expect my sisters voice to reply but instead it belonged to a boy "Kat, it's Cole"

Wait, wait, wait- he's real? Like an actual human being.. Kat wasn't making him up? Hang on, why does he have Octavia's phone?

"Cole! Why do you have my sisters phone? She isn't bothering you, is she?" Katerina said, I heard relief in her voice which I assume is because this proves she isn't bonkers

This time, it was my sister who answered "first of all: rude. Second of all: Cole and his older brother Kai killed a demon then rescued us, it was all very sexy and overwhelming. Yep! That's right, I said DEMON because they do In fact exist so WHO'S CRAZY NOW, BITCH?!?"

I snatched the phone from Katerina's hand and said "okay listen, I don't need you feeding my sisters delusions!"

The was silence before I heard a slight gasp then the voice of someone I thought I'd never see again "EMILY?!?!"

"KAI!?!" I exclaimed back, God, I hadn't seen him since those three months in senior year, damn how time flies by and yet, still one of the best nights of my life

"You know Cole's brother?" Katerina baffled

"Cole is Kai's brother? I never knew he even had a brother..." I was shocked.. all that time together and nothing. Huh.

"Why do you never tell any of your "special" friends about me?" I heard Cole complain and Kai struggle to form any sort of answer

Octavia laughed hard " damn em, you're like a walking STD"

"Fuck off, via" was the last words I said to them, I stormed out of the room to get some fresh air; I couldn't deal with this right now

I assume Katerina is devising some plan to meet up with Kai's brother, then they'd probably go get Charlie and- oh my God! If I can get Charlie back my life will return to normal!

Which is exactly why I agreed to meet up with the Faust brothers, Octavia and their little friends with Katerina.

Wow that was a long while wait but I was ill so I'm excused!

I don't actually like this chapter but oh well.. I didn't proof read it cuz I'm ✨lazy✨ so if you spot a mistake let me know so I can ELIMINATE it.

I love Octavia.
