—he was upset and said you were a pain. no, he didn't mean it, he never would. but he hasn't been doing well at school and took it out on you. you were really hurt. you didn't even do anything. you didn't talk to him till he got it together. you couldn't help but try to be nicer.

—he was in the heat of the moment and called you stupid. he didn't mean it, he was just stress with tests and volleyball. you cried and cried. you thought you were pretty smart. you didn't talk to him for a while. you couldn't help but study harder.

—he was upset and called you awkward. and not in a good way. he didn't mean it, he was just upset. you were called on to answer a question for school and you just froze, that's when he whispered under his breath, awkward. that hurt. you couldn't help but try and be less awkward.

—he was tired and called you petty. he didn't mean it. he really didn't. he was just tired with all the volleyball and nationals coming up that it slipped. you were really upset and hurt. he didn't really think you were. you couldn't help but try and be less petty.

—he was stressed with volleyball and called you selfish. he wasn't really thinking when he said it. but he said that you were selfish for only thinking about yourself and not about him. you asked for help studying with an upcoming test. you didn't mean to seem selfish. you couldn't help but try and be selfless.
