" I am not going to be put into Slytherin!" Said Abus, through gritted teeth. "James, give it rest" said their mother, Ginny Sternly as they passed on to platform nine and three quarters. "I am only saying that there is a chance of him being put in slytherin," said James, annoyed. "But I am not going to be put in Slytherin!" Albus argued, crossing his arms and looking at the ground. "Enough arguing or you two will miss the train." said Ginny, tired of the two boys arguing. The two boys bored the train. " I am going to sit with some friends if you want to-". "No, I got it, '' Albus interrupted, still annoyed with their tussle. James left and went into a compartment and sat with some kids that looked about James' age. Albus walked past a few other compartments. Then Settled on a compartment with a boy with pale skin and blond hair about his age. "Hey, Said Albus Awkwardly,"is this seat taken?" "Nope!" said the boy as Albus sat in the seat across from him. "What is your name?" asked the boy. "I'm Albus," answered Albus. "Hi! Albus, my name is Scorpius" answered Scorpius. Scorpius asks " What house do you think you will be sorted into?'' "I don't know",said Albus.
" Firs yers!' "Come with me!" yelled a deep voice. "Wow, we're here already!"said Albus following Scorpius off the train and onto a boat. While the boat was smoothly floating over the lake Albus looked over at Scorpius and Scorpius looked back at him and smiled. Albus felt his stomach fill with butterflies. Before the flustered boy knew it the boats were on the other side of the lake. All of the first years exited the boats and entered the castle and walked down a hallway. At the end of the hallway they met an old witch. "Welcome to Hogwarts,"said the old witch," My name is professor McGonagall and soon you pass through these doors and be sorted into your houses."Said McGonagall. " They are Gryffindor,Hufflepuff,Ravenclaw, and Slytherin and while you're here your house will be like your family",Said McGonagall. Then she opened the large double doors and she and the first years entered the great hall. Then stopped at the front of the hall by a stool. Professor McGonagall set down an old hat on the stool and opened a scroll and said"when I call your name you will sit on the stool and I will put the hat on your head and you will be stored into your house." She started to call out names, "Rose Granger-Weasley". Rose came and sat down on the stool and McGonagall placed the hat on her head. "Gryffindor," the hat shouted. Rose got up and sat at the Gryffindor table as the table cheered for her. "Scorpius Malfoy" McGonagall called out. Scorpius walled up to the stool and McGonagall placed the hat on his head. "Slytherin" yelled the hat. Scorpius was not surprised by this as he got off the stool. "Albus Potter" called out McGonagall. Albus walked over and sat on the stool and McGonagall placed the hat on head. "Slytherin" the hat called out. The room went dead silent as Albus shyly went over to the Slytherin table and sat next to Scorpius. McGonagall finished the sorting and started the feast. Albus felt people staring and whispering about them being shocked about him being in Slytherin. He honestly couldn't blame them, he was just as shocked as they were.
With their stomachs being nice and full the first year Slytherins followed their classmates in the slytherin dorms. Albus chose the bed right next to Scorpius. He and his other classmates changed in their pajamas and climbed into bed. Albus went to bed feeling quite uneasy and thinking how his family would feel about him being a Potter in Slytherin. At some point very late at night Albus fell asleep still feeling uneasy.
