TW: talk of sex (though no descriptive sex mentioned)
"Hey dad, your birthday is next week isn't it?" Hitoshi questioned popping his head into the living room, "Yeah, why?" Shouta questioned looking up from his paperwork. "Just checking, I keep losing time" he grumbled, "Cause of your new meds?" Hizashi asked, he had some worries about the new sleep medication the doctors wanted him to try. "Probably, we can just switch em' when we go to get Robin's prescription" Hitoshi reassures, "her appointments in like, a week. I'll survive" he states patting his dad's shoulder before turning and walking back into his room. "Why do I feel like they're planning something?" Shouta inquiries rubbing his temples tiredly, "you know they love you" Hizashi reassures rubbing his husband's arms. "That reminds me, when is Robins's birthday?" Hizashi questions, "I'm... not sure, that spot on her file is still blank" Shouta mutters pulling out his laptop from under the piles of paperwork. Sure enough, the space where the date of birth was written, was blank.
"Should we ask her?" Shouta turned toward his husband, "it might be a sore spot with her, maybe we should as Zu" Shouta nods at his husband's compromise and they both stand and walk toward Izukus room. "Hey bunny" Hizashi greets, Izuku rolls his eyes at the new nickname born from the fact that Koda's bunny had gotten out of its pen and refused to leave Izuku alone. "Hey pops, what do you need?" Izuku turned from where he was sitting at his desk, hiding the work-in-progress drawing he was working on. "When is Robin's birthday?" Shouta questioned walking further into the room, "Umm, technically she's got two. Her adoption birthday and the one that we estimated was around her actual birth" he states hiding his drawing under his notebooks. "Which one do you celebrate?" Hiashi questioned sitting on his son's bed, "we don't really celebrate, in fact, that hoodie my friend gave me this year was the first gift I've gotten since I was four" Izuku explained much to his parent's horror. "H-how about the one closest to her actual birth" Shouta supplies in Hizashi's silence, "Ok! It's November 17th".
Wait a minute... that's in like two weeks
"Wait, what?" Shouta prayed he heard wrong, "November 17th" Izuku replied again confused.
His oldest daughter turned 16 in two weeks? No, no he must be mistaken.
"Are you absolutely positive?" Hizashi questioned as the same look of horror as his husband took over his features, "yeah, though it's not her exact birthday" Izuku stared at his parents confused. "Why? Is that a bad thing?" he asked worriedly, "No, no little listener, we just... we haven't prepared anything for her" Hizashi soothed. "Trust me pops, she'd hate a big party" Izuku reassures, "but it's her sweet 16!" Hizashi frets attempting to plan a big party in his head. "Pops! Seriously, she really doesn't like her birthday. Just give her a card that says "you've aged" and give her some chocolate cake and all will be fine, she really really doesn't like her birthday" Izuku stresses staring at his dads. "Throwing her a party will only make her upset, trust me" he stares at his dads for a while until they both nod in understanding (though Hizashi was still really upset) and exit his room. Izuku smiles at his parents and turns to continue his drawing. Both Hizashi and Shouta left their son's room slightly disappointed, in themselves or the situation? They couldn't tell you.
Hours later Robin walked through the door pulling some form of streamers out of her hair, Izuku grinned and wolf-whistled at his sister. "Woohoo, Robin! How much money did you make at the club?" he teased to which Robin threw a bag at his face. "Watch yourself Zuzu, I know where you live" she gave her brother a feral grin dropping a few bags on the kitchen table, "yeah you and every villain in Japan, you ain't special" he crossed his arms grinning. "Oh how you hurt me dear brother" she fanned herself dramatically swooning into his opened arms, "Haha very funny, now get up you big lug" he pushed her up and off him. "Temper, temper Zuzu, and to think I brought you some cinnabons like the good sister I am" she pouted pulling the Cinnabon packaging out of the bag shaking it lightly. 'Oh well, guess I'll just give it to Toshi" she sighed, "Don't you go bringing me into this!" was heard from the distance causing both teens to chuckle. "I'm just kidding, here" she threw the box to her brother, "where exactly did you go?" Izuku questioned raising an eyebrow as he bit into his Cinnabon (Cannibalism).
