Chapter 7

~Lee Eunji's PoV

I sat in the empty seat near the window putting my head down on the desk. The cool breeze lulling me back to sleep. I was peacefully sleeping when someone started to poke my shoulder.

"What?" I ask without looking up.

"Good morning princess, class is about to start." Urgh! Why can't he find someone else to annoy. Why me?

"What is so good about this morning?" I grumble sitting back straight. I yawn while rubbing the sleep off my eyes.

"Someone is sleepy." Taehyung says his eyes twinkling in amusement.

"No shit sherlock." I turn back to look outside the windows.

"Aww did my princess not get enough sleep? Did my thoughts keep you up at night?" He says mocking concern. I give him a look that says are-you-kidding-me? He just chuckles and turns away. The nerve of this man.

Mrs. Joon enters and starts teaching. "Today we are going to watch a short video and you all will be criticising and writing a report on it." Groans were heard from the class. "And you will be writing it in pairs....with the person sitting next to you." Some were happy some were disappointed and me, well I just rolled my eyes at that. Could I BE any more lucky? I thought.

"You truly are lucky princess." Did I say that out loud? I thought turning to face him.

"Nope." He smirks. Can he read minds..? I think widening my eyes.

"This you did say out loud." He snickers at me. Damn it!

"Let's just get this done with." I say changing the subject.

After the painstaking 30 minutes of the video we were to write the report.

"We are not supposed to write it like that." I smack on his arm snatching the paper back.

"Ouch. Yes we are." He says trying to snatch the paper back.

"No, we are not." I smack his arm again.

"Ow! Geez can you stop hitting me?"

"Stop being stupid then. That scene did not go that way."

"It did." He says trying to take the paper back.

"Did not"

"Did too."

"Did not."

"Did too."

"Did —

"Quiet! I want the report at the end of the class or else you'll be getting detention." Mrs. Joon shouted at the class.

"This is all your fault." I hiss at Taehyung.

"No it's  not, now keep quiet and let's get done with it." He says rolling his eyes at me.

After a few more snarky comments we were finally done with the report. I cannot wait to get out of this class. The bell rings indicating the end of the class and I rush to submit our report and get out of there.

I shared my second class with Jimin and Hobi. Hobi had skipped this class yesterday that's why he wasn't there. This class was bearable with Jimin and Hobi cracking jokes and making me laugh. I observed that Jimin was a big flirt and would not pass up any opportunity to do so. Hobi is always smiling and has this positive aura around him that just makes him sweeter.

I walked down to cafeteria with Hobi for lunch. When we reached our table I saw Ara sitting besides Jin laughing at something he said. I take a seat in-front of her.

"So mind telling me what important 'work' you had in the morning that you ditched me?" I squint my eyes at the pair sitting ahead of me. Ara smiles sheepishly after getting startled.

"Ahh..that...I'll tell you later." She says and I turn to face Jin who is looking at anywhere but me. "Do you want these chocolates or no?" She waves my precious chocolates in my face.

"Thank you very much." I smile sarcastically while snatching the chocolates and shoving them in my bag.

"You sure do love chocolates huh?" Hobi asks besides me.

"Yup." I say popping the 'p'.

"Anyways I have to finish my lunch fast and go. I have notes to complete." I had joined later and I did have a stock of notes to complete. I opened my lunch box and started eating.

Eventually the rest of the group arrived too with Mr. Jerk sitting on my other side.

While I was talking to Namjoon I saw a hand sneaking towards my box. I smacked his arm earning a glare from him.

"Stop eyeing my lunch."

"What? I just want to eat. I'm hungry too you know." Taehyung says inching forward.

"Get your own food then." I say shooing him away. He made a protesting sound and turned to talk to Jimin. I had bought a cupcake with my lunch which I intended to eat at last, to savour its taste. After that I was busy talking to others that I completely forgot about the devil besides me. When I looked down to eat my cupcake it was missing. I slowly turned to look at Taehyung. He smirked towards me and stuffed the last piece in his mouth.

"That was mine!" I say angrily and pout at the thought of my very tasty cupcake being eaten by him. I think I saw him go soft looking at me but it was gone as soon as it appeared. Maybe I imagined it.

"Oops!" Taehyung said like a 5-year old but emotionless. Before I could say anything his phone pinged and he got up to leave. "Bye princess, see you later. Oh and by the way the cupcake was very tasty. Do bring it next time too, okay?" With that he turned on his heels and left.

"He is so gonna be dead next time." I murmured. I looked up to find the whole table laughing at me. "Seriously guys! Y'all are gonna laugh like that now? Anyways I'm going to the library to complete my notes. We'll go home together ?" I direct my question to Ara who is busy laughing.

"Yeah, I'll meet you at the gate." She says between her laughs.

"Bye guys." I wave at others and exit the cafeteria.

Atleast I have my chocolates to make my day. I thought.
