Chapter 25

"It wasn't your fault.

word you said."

"Hey Yoongi," Jin says barely containing his laughter, "why is peter pan always flying?"

"I don't have an option, do I? Yoongi sighs from beside him. Jin shakes his head, his face is red from containing his laughter.

"Because he neverlands," He answers making me laugh.

Jin, Ara, Yoongi and I were standing in the parking lot waiting for the others when Jin started telling dad jokes. And soon he and I were competing to make Yoongi laugh. So far we weren't successful. Yoongi was still not smiling and Ara looked so done with us.

"I have one. I have one," I say jumping up. "Why couldn't the bicycle stand by itself?"

"Why Eunji?" Ara asks with exasperation.

"Because it is two tired," I reply with a straight face before Jin and I burst into fits of laughter.

"Is it just me who thinks their jokes are getting lamer each time?" Ara questions Yoongi who shakes his head in reply.

"Oh come on, you both have no eye for good humour," I defend while hi-five-ing Jin.

"What did the blanket say as it fell off the bed?" Jin asks.

"What?" We ask in unison.

"Oh sheet." Jin windshield laughter could be heard around the parking lot.

"Yoongi, Yoongi, Yoongi," I call out desperately to him. He turns his attention towards me.

"How do you know a ghost is sad?"

"How?"

"It starts Boo-Hooing," I laugh out at my own joke.

"You both seriously have the same sense of humour," Yoongi mutters face-palming himself.

"What do you call an ice cream that parties hard?" Jin giggles.

"Just say it," Yoongi grumbles at him.

"Out of CONEtrol," I laugh at his answer while Ara looked at us weird. Yoongi was on the verge of smiling.

"I have one, I have one," I pipe in between my laughter. "What can you not eat for breakfast?"

"Apple?" Ara asks raising her eyebrow at me. Yoongi too seems to be thinking.

"Dinner"

"Lunch," Jin and I say at the same time. We make eye contact and maintain a neutral face for 3 seconds before laughing out loud, quite literally.

"Last one was good," Yoongi smiles his infamous gummy smile, "I'll use that."

"What will you use?" Jimin asks coming towards us. Hobi and Namjoon behind him.
