Chapter 12

"She got that sophisticated, street smart, spiritual, soulful, savage thing about her"

~ Taehyung's PoV

I chased after a laughing Eunji as she tries to dodge me. God, her laugh is so addictive. I found myself smiling at her. She did not have those sweet and small type of laugh that people usually describe in books and movies. She had a loud and carefree laugh, a laugh that can automatically make you smile. When she laughs her eyes crinkle up and her nose scrunches a bit. Just looking at her happy makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and that scares me. She has started to affect me without even knowing. What are you doing to me, princess?

I look back at Eunji who is taking support of the classroom door to stand. I run faster to her.

"Princess?" She tries to walk again but sways.

"Eunji look at me. Hey!" I catch her in time before she fell to the ground.

"Open your eyes princess. Please Eunji look at me." I cup her cheeks shaking her slightly. Panic rises in my chest as she does not move.

"Please get up princess, it's not funny," I say sternly trying not to panic.

I sling her bag on my shoulder and slide my one arm under her knees and other supporting her back. I pick her up bridal style and jog towards the nurse's office.

~ Eunji's PoV

I opened my eyes and found myself on a bed in the nurse room. Who got me here? The last thing I remember is running around with Taehyung. Maybe he brought me here. I looked around and saw him glaring at the wall, his jaw clenched. What the hell is he angry at now? I try to get up when the nurse enters the room.

"Hey, you're up. How do you feel?" She asks me. Taehyung turns his attention towards me.

"I'm fine. What happened?" I reply to her.

"You fell unconscious because of low sugar in your system. When was the last meal you had?" She asks writing something in her notepad.

I rack my brain for the answer. "Yesterday morning," I murmur not wanting Taehyung to hear it but the look he gave me told me that he heard it very clearly.

"That is more than 24hrs, you should not skip your meals okay?" She tells me before turning to Taehyung. "Make sure she eats something sweet right now, she'll need energy. You can go now."

He replies with a curt nod before picking up my bag. I get off the bed and start to walk only to tumble back. Taehyung holds me up and steadies me with a glare. Geez, what happened to him.

"Thanks" I mumble to him.

We walked in silence towards the parking lot with him supporting me. His touch on my arm was electrifying.

"Thank you but I guess I'll leave now," I told him removing his hand.

"Did I tell you could leave," he turns to glare at me.

"I do not need your permission. I am perfectly fine okay." I snap at him.

"Get in the car princess. We are going somewhere."

"I am not going anywhere with you," I replied angrily.

"You have to eat something, did you not hear the nurse?" He says exasperatedly.

"I have a fruit in my bag, I'll have it," I said.

"Do not test me, princess, get in the car." He grits his teeth at me.
