Chapter 18: First Night in New Orleans!!!

Elena's POV

When we finally got to New Orleans we were all so tired. Eli said that they had a house here, but we were going to stay in a motel for the night so that they can get everything set up. So here we were at a 5 star hotel waiting to get our rooms. I didn't want anything to do with Eli. This is his fault!!! He made me leave my home. I don't belong here...WE don't belong here!!!

Eli: Laney I was just trying to protect you...all of you.

Me: And you couldn't do that in Mystic Falls? You had to drag us away from our home for protection?

Eli: Laney...

Me: Eli just stop. I don't care about your excuses. Just leave me alone. I'll just share a room with Kol. I don't want you there. Tell Nik when he gets back from seeing Marcel, that he is welcome to join us. Good night Elijah.

After Eli walked away I turned to see everybody staring at me.

Kol: Ellie...love, you think maybe you might have been maybe just a little too hard on Lijah? I mean he was just trying to protect you girls. We don't know who we're up against here. If he wouldn't have made this decision, me or Nik would have. I know you don't know Marcel yet. But he really is our best chance of protecting you girls. Isn't that right Derek?

Derek: Sorry for eavesdropping, Marcel sent me and 9 others here to guard the girls.

Me: 10 of you, really?

Derek: Yeah, 2 for each of you. Guys, this is Elena Gilbert, Rebekah Mikaelson, Hayley Marshall, Maci McGraw, and Katherine Pierce. Girls, these are the guys that are going to help me watch you guys. Me and Adrian are going to guard Elena. Anthony and Calvin,you guys have Maci. Ashton and Marcus, you guys are going to be with Hayley. Arthur and Kenneth, watch over Rebekah. Lastly, Alyx and Brady are going to guard Katherine. We will stay outside of the hotel room until we are needed. You guys ready?

Me: Just a couple of questions.

Derek: What is it Lena?

Me: How many of you are there in New Orleans? And why are you guys helping us?

Derek: There is about 2 or 3 hundred of us here. And There are 2 reasons why we are helping you. First reason is because Marcel told us to.

Me: And the second reason?

Derek: Second reason is because even though he doesn't know most of you guys yet...Marcel considers all of you family and any family of Marcels is family of ours. So we might not know you guys yet...but we already care about you guys. We don't want anything to happen to any of you. Elijah was right to bring you guys here. You're safe here Lena, you all are.

Me: Thanks Derek.

We all got rooms right beside each other. I was feeling bad for what I had said to Eli. I didn't mean it, I was just mad. It was 2 am and I couldn't sleep. I decided to go to Eli's room.

Derek: Lena? Is everything ok?

Me: Yeah, everything's fine. Umm...do you know where Eli's room is?

Adrian: right next door actually.

Derek: I'm glad you're forgiving him Lena.

Me: Thanks guys, have a good night.

I walk in and see Eli drinking in his bed.

Me: I'm so sorry Eli. I was just stressed about having to leave Mystic falls. I shouldn't have taken it out on you.

Eli: It's ok Laney. I understand how tough it is. Being pregnant, the babies already being in danger, having to move. I get it Laney.

Me: I'm scared Eli. I don't know how to be a mom. What if I fail them. What if they hate me?

Eli: They're going to love you. You're so loving, so caring, so selfless. You'll be a perfect mom. I love you Elena Gilbert!

Me: I love you too Elijah Mikaelson!!!

All the sudden my phone starts ringing.

Me: Hey Bon, what's going on?

Bon: Well, you never came over after the Water Park. Then Care tells me you sided with Rebekah. Then I go to the mansion to talk to you and find out you have moved!

Me: I'm sorry Bon...

Bon: No, you don't get to talk now! I wanted you to come over to tell you I was pregnant! But no, you couldn't spare 10 minutes in your new life to come and see your best friend. I don't even know you anymore Elena!

I start crying. In all of this mess I completely forgot about Bonnie!!! How could I forget about my best childhood friend!!!

Me: Bon...I'm so sorry!!!

Bon: You know what, I don't want to hear it Elena! You've made it pretty clear that you don't care!

Eli snatches the phone from me.

Eli: Bonnie, this is Elijah.

Bon: Save it Elijah!!! I don't want to hear any of your guys excuses!

Eli: No I don't want to hear you! You will not talk to me like that and you sure as h3ll won't talk to Elena like that. You're so selfish Bonnie Bennett! All you think about is how somebody has wronged you. Did you ever think that maybe Elena is going through something right now too? She's engaged to not just one but three Originals and she's pregnant and we have no idea which one of us are the father. From now on don't call Elena. You have something to say call me, Kol, Klaus, Jeremy, Stefan, Tyler, or Matt. Never contact Elena again got it?

Bon: Elijah...I didn't know.

Eli: Exactly Bonnie...you didn't know.

Eli hangs up on Bonnie and comes over and hugs me.

Me: Eli, we need to go see Jer and Bek. Jer needs to know about Bonnie being pregnant.

Eli: We'll go over there first thing in the morning. Right now you need to get some rest while I go talk with my brothers. Oh and Mer will be here in the morning. She needed one more night in Mystic Falls before coming out to New Orleans. Good night my sweet sweet Laney. I love you.

Me: Good night Eli. I love you too.
