Chapter 18 - Smile

"I'll take you over to my place since it's near compared to your home. Is that okay?" He asked while still walking.

"Mm..." She nods with her eyes still closed. "For now. I can go home later." She looks at him. "With all the huffing and that sweaty face i can tell you're tired too.."

"Don't worry about me."

He told and walked towards his place, and stands in front of the door after reaching his home, searching his pocket for the keys.

"You can put me down now." She grabbed his shoulders and looked at him. "I'll be fine."

"Stay." He commanded and took out his keys, and inserting it in the key hole as he twisted it and opened the door.

He entered thr house and locked the door before walking with her upstairs to his room, then gently placing her on his bed.

He then sat beside her and lay his back on the bed as he took sometime to relax.

Y/n just sat on the bed and looked at Kageyama.

"Tobio-kun.."

Kageyama looks at her.

"Why would you do something of this extent for me?" She asked curiously.

He sat up and looked at her before looking away shyly.

"Why don't you lay down and rest? Don't you waste your energy by talking" he looked at her.

She look at his pillow then looks at him.

"I don't want to." She said.

"Huh?? Why??" He stood up.

"This is your bed. What if you get  sick because of this..?" She asked.

"I won't. I'll change the sheets after you leave, so don't worry." He told and gently pushed her to lay down and pulled the covers over her.

"Sleep for a while, while I take shower."

He told and went over to the closet to get his towel then went over to the bathroom.

She sighed and just closed her eyes, though she wasn't actually sleeping.

After around 15 minutes, he walked out of the bathroom and entered his room with a towel hanging around his neck and with shorts on.

He wiped his wet hair with one end lf the towel and looked at Y/n, smiling as he thought she was asleep.

He walked towards her to feel her temperature when he was completely distracted on how beautiful she looked as he walked closer to her.

He stared at her for a while before leaning in, holding the towel hanging on his neck on both sides until he was close to her face.

He gripped on to his towel a little tighter as he closed his eyes, moving closer and closer to her until they were just a few centimeters apart.

Her warm breath hitting his lips made him hold his breath, while anxiety starts to build up within him.

He finally pulled away and sighed, regretting his decision to back away immediately.

He then put his hand on her forehead and she opened her eyes.

"You're done...?" She looks at him before her eyes trailed down to his torso and sees his well built figure.

Her face turned red as she looked at him.

"Y-you weren't sleeping??" Kageyama pulled his hand away and asked.

"I was just closing my eyes." She shook her head and sat up, leaning

'Safe...' he thought to himself as he blushed at the thought of what he was planning to do.

"H-how is your fever..?" He leaned closer and put his hand on her forehead and looks at her, while she looked at him too.

They made eye contact for sometime while he still had his hand on her forehead and their faces still inches apart from each other.

"Y-y-your fever wore off a little.."

Y/n then blushed and looked away, so did Kageyama.

He then turned around to walk to his closet but was called by Y/n.

"Tobio-kun..."

He turned to look at her to find her blushing hard and holding the covers to her face, covering the lower part of her face.

"Do you workout..?" She asked.

"Not really. Just the volleyball routine and maybe going for a run sometime.." he took the towel off his head. "You also make us do cardio too, don't you?"

"I don't make you do cardio for abs, its more like a warm up before a game." She looks at him and blushed.

He looked down at his abs and then looked at her blushing.

"Do you like them?" He tilts his head.

Her cheeks heated up real quick and she looked away.

"I-I was just asking..." She squeaked but then looked at him. "It looks good on you though..."

He smiled at her only to profusely blush once he turned his back on her, going to the closet and pulling out a shirt to wear.

He then came back after a while and looked at her.

"Let me go make you something so you can have your medicine." He told.

"I'm coming too.." she told and tried to get off the bed.

"No." He looks at her.

"I want to help too." She looks at him.  "You told that I'm a little better now."

"Can you walk?" He asked and she nodded.

He stands with his arms crossed while he looked at her trying to stand.

He sighed before walking over to her and carrying her bridal style.

She looks at him and then looks down sadly.

"I'm doing this because I want to, not because you couldn't walk." He told to make her feel better.

She looks at him with a smile and chuckled softly, making him smile.

"You should smile more, it looks good on you." She smiled with her eyes, making him blush a little.

After entering the kitchen, he placed her to sit on the counter.

"What do you feel like having?" He asked.

"I-"

"Nevermind, you're gonna eat something that is going to help you recover. Tomato soup or veggie soup maybe." He told as he searched the fridge for the ingredients.
