Kageyama kept fighting his own thoughts that he didn't realize that he reached school.

They walked towards the gym and looked that everyone were ready to go.

"Everyone!! Do your best!!" Y/n smiled at them and they nodded.

"Watch me win for you, Y/n!!" Hinata smiled brightly.

Everyone then went to sit in the bus, and Kageyama was the last one to leave.

He looks at her.

"Take care of yourself." He told.

"You too." She nodded. "You better win this." She smiled.

He looked away sadly and sighed. "Wish you'd come to watch us."

She moved to be in front of his gaze and smiled. "I'll be there for the next one. I promise!!"

He then smiled and nodded.

"Bye-bye!" She waved at him.

Kageyama stared at her before cupping her cheek with one hand, caressing her cheek softly.

He stared at her lips and was about to lean in when Daichi called him.

"Oi! Kageyama! Hurry up, we're leaving!"

"Yes!" Kageyama looked at him.

He then sighed and looked at her. "I'll see you in the evening." He told and quickly entered the bus.

Later that evening when the boys came back, Kageyama decided to go to Y/n's work to meet her but got a text on his way there.

He took out his phone to see that his mother was home early that day and needed him to come over since she wasn't feeling good.

He clicked his tongue at the timing as he turned around and hurriedly jogged home.

Y/n waited for Kageyama to come but he never showed up even when her shift ended. She sighed as she stepped out and started walking home.

The next day as well, when she walked out of her home, she didn't see Kageyama waiting for her.

"Could it be... he's trying to be distant towards me..?" She mumbled and sighed as she shook her head, then started walking to school.

Kageyama, on the other hand,  has been looking after his mother all night and it looks like he'll need to stay today as well since she didn't seem to have any improvement.

He sighed as he looked out the window, knowing that he won't be able to go to school today.

"I'll be fine, why don't you go to school?" His mother told.

"No need for that. I'll stay here and take care of you." He shook his head. "Moreover, why don't we go to the doctor to have you checked up?" He asked.

"I don't need to go to the doctor or anything, I'll be fine. I just need some rest"

He sighed. "That's why I always tell you to don't overwork."

He caressed her head and stood up.

"I'm going to take a shower. Rest for now."

Y/n was in the class and upon entering, she glanced at his seat to find it empty.

Throughout the classes during that day, she occassionally glanced at the entrance, wondering if the door will slide open and he would enter the class, apologizing for being late.

But even after the school was over, he was nowhere to be seen, and as the lat bell rang, she packed her bags and walked out of the class, walking towards the gym.

The boys continued to practice normally while Y/n stood with Kiyoko and took notes.

She then looks at Hinata and hesitated to call him, but did anyway.

"Shoyo." She waved at him.

He looked at her and curiously walked over to her. "What's up?"

"Do you know why Tobio-Kun isn't here?" She asked.

Hinata tilted his head. "He didn't tell you anything?" He asked.

"W-well, my phone doesn't work so I guess he couldn't reach me." She smiled awkwardly.

"He just told me that he got a family emergency and wouldn't be able to show up today." He shrugged.

She nodded and looked away before looking at him again. "Did he texted you to let me know about something..?"

He shook his head and looked at her.

"Oh, I see..thank you." She smiled at him and he went back to practice.

She went to stand beside Kiyoko and held the notebook close to her chest.

'Did I do the wrong thing by talking to him about my feelings..?' She thought to herself.

Later after the practice, Y/n and Hinata were cleaning the gym and packed up after they were done cleaning.

"I'll go on ahead! See you tomorrow!" Hinata waved with a big smile.

Y/n smiled at him and waved as she was putting her jacket on, and switched the lights off before exiting the gym and locking it.

After locking the gym and making sure she actually locked it, she turned around, walking towards the school gate, stopping on her tracks when she saw Kageyama running towards the school gate, placing his hands on his knees to catch his breath while eyeing at Y/n.

"Tobio-kun..?" She mumbled and walked towards him.

He eventually stood up as she walked closer and looked down at her while still exhaling and inhaling deeply.

"What happened..? Why are you here at this time..?" She asked.

"I..wanted to...see you..." He told in between his pants.

She smiled at his words and looked down shyly.

"So, shall we go home?" She asked.

He smiled and nodded as they walked out of the school gate together.

"I'm sorry I couldn't come to walk you home last night..." He sighed. "I was on my way to you when I suddenly received a text from my-"

"It's okay, don't worry about it." She looks at him and smiled. "I just want to know how was the game yesterday."

He smiled and looked ahead. "It was intense. We enjoyed it. Only if you were there too." He looked down at her.

"Like I said, I promise to be there for the next one."

Kageyama paused for a while before putting his hands in his pocket.

"What did I miss in school today..?" He asked.

"Nothing much." She chuckled.

"Let me have your notes later." He looked away and rubbed his neck.

"Mmm" she nodded then looked at him. "Do you need them now?"

"Not now, maybe later." He waves his hand at her, gesturing 'no'.

Y/n noticed his one of his finger with a band-aid and gasped softly.

"What happened to your finger?"
