Chapter One-

"Never had I been more scared in my life Jaden." I spoke to my best friend, tears rolling down my face as I laid my head on her strong shoulder. Jaden was my bestfriend since grade 3. She has never betrayed me or abandoned me, like most people. And I hope she stayed.

"I wish I was there to help, Drew. I would have helped. I'm so sorry." She sobbed into my hair. She was my protector, and I was hers. I could tell the guilt was slowly eating her inside.

"Jaden. Stop. You can't protect me from everything, as I can't to you. Things happen, and we've gotten through all that has happened, so we'll get through this. It may be harder though. I'm just glad that man was there." I spoke softly as I looked down to my blue-purple fingers from being in the cold weather, uncovered for so long. "Stop crying Jaden, please. It's not worth it."

"Drew! How can you say it's not worth it! You were this close to being raped, Drew! This close!" She closed her fingers less than a centimeter apart, showing how close I was to being permanently hurt, physically and mentally. More tears began to stain my face as I quietly whispered sorry to my pained friend. She hated seeing my hurt, so fragile, like I was thin glass, threatening to break into a billion pieces.

"H-he...he saved me Jaden. A stranger saved me...a-and he ran off. I...I would have died Jaden, if it wasn't for this amazing I'd be...dead." My hands started to shake at the thought of me possibly not being alive right now. " I paused to think my plan over in my head multiple times. "I have to find him."

"Drew, no. You can't go now. Not now. I just got you from that horrid place. You aren't leaving yet." Jaden demanded, taking hold of my frozen fingers, desperately trying to pull me back to her. I knew she wouldn't like my decision, but it was final. I was going to find the man who saved me from my worst enemy. What really hurt about the enemy was the fact he got away, he got away from the man and me. He escaped the years in prison he would face, the long, lonely nights in the cell, the lonely nights he deserved. How many other girls had he done this to...but succeeded? How many girls had ended up...pregnant? The thought sent shivers through my body.

"I'm going to take a quick shower and then I'm going." I said sternly to Jaden. Her face was full of worry.

"I'm coming too so hurry." She quietly said. A small smile appeared on my lips and I hugged her once, jogging to the bathroom to clean myself.

"I'm ready. You?" I said to my best friend. She nodded and we headed out my bedroom door, on a venture to find my hero. The man who saved me from years of pain.

"Are you sure about this, Drew?" Jaden said as she looked down at her fingers and back to me with worried eyes.

"Yes, Jaden. I need to thank him. The least I can do is thank him." She didn't reply, and with that, I turned the key to my small black car and turned down the street, eyes searching desperately.

I heard the bing of my phone and reached into my slim purse to see who messaged me.

Mom.

'Drew where did u go? X'

I quickly replied. 'Just out & about with Jade. x'

"Lets stop here." I said, stopping the car at the parking lot of a small StarBucks. "Wanna get a drink real quick?" Looking at Jaden, she nodded and we walked into the small café.

We walked out, giggling at the googoo eyes some younger boys were giving us and walked to my car.

I stopped in my tracks, spotting a rather familiar fluffy head of hair, walking into the small coffee shop we were previously just in.

"Jaden! Look! That's him."
