IT WAS AMAZING HOW MUCH Google could reveal with just a name and a city.

LaMelo didn't mean to act so stalkerish and weird, but... Juliette intrigued him so much that he had to, he just had to.

LaMelo was scrolling through various apps on his phone while sitting at a burnt orange high table in a popular restaurant on the north side of Charlotte. His teammates from the Hornets, Miles Bridges and P.J. Washington, were also present, chatting amongst themselves. LaMelo had tuned them out, more focused on scrolling through her Instagram, being careful not to like anything so that he didn't cause any notifications.

On her Instagram were mirror selfies, pictures with the two girls that LaMelo had seen her with at the club, polaroids of her with a large group of girls, all in red jackets with white lettering, and finally, stills of her with a teenager, about fifteen or sixteen, who's dark brown eyes, high cheekbones, and a wide smile that matched hers.

LaMelo looked up and around at the semi-crowded establishment, then slid his phone into his pocket, "Imma go see if I can sneak a beer from the bartender."

P.J. and Miles both started to snicker at that, as both of them were over the age of twenty-one. "Yeah, good luck with that, rook." Miles chuckled.

LaMelo playfully rolled his eyes at his friend before heading to the bar. The bartender, who appeared to be in his mid-twenties, was engaged in a lively conversation with a girl whose head was adorned with waist-length box braids. The girl was flirting, her smile wide and her body language open to the man.

She kept looking back to her phone and a booth a few feet away that sat two girls while the man was making tropical-colored cocktails in various hues of oranges and reds.

As LaMelo scanned the room, his eyes widened in recognition when they landed on one of the girls sitting directly across from the bar. It was Juliette, dressed in an eye-catching cheetah-printed tube top and a pair of extensively ripped jeans. Her curly hair was slicked back into a high ponytail, and she looked stunning.

But she always looked stunning.

Juliette was lightly engrossed in her phone, texting away while simultaneously keeping an eye on the girl standing at the bar. She was nodding her head in approval at the actions her friend was making, coaching her silently from the sidelines, LaMelo realized.

He raised a curious eyebrow when the bartender pushed the three different drinks toward the girl who carefully took the three margarita glasses to their table.
