JULIETTE WOKE UP with her entire skull buzzing and in a queen-sized bed that wasn't her own. "Ooh," She muttered to herself as she sat slowly up on the edge and put her left hand to her forehead, hoping that the pressure her palm could give would help her headache.

Frigid metal made contact, causing Juliette to pull back her hand, a bit confused.

A decent-sized wedding ring with a white gold band stared back at her, prompting Juliette to let loose a horrified scream as she pulled it off.

"What the fuck? What the fuck?" She turned to look at the body still lying on the other side of the bed, then braced both hands against the person's bare spine and pushed with no hesitation.

"Ow," LaMelo's voice exclaimed from the floor, "Jules, what the fuck?"

He rose at the foot of the bed, rubbing his eye, then promptly stopped his movements at the ring in the palm of her hand, "What the...?"

"Exactly! What the fuck happened?" Juliette looked around the room, noting the familiarity, "Is this your apartment?"

"No, I don't know where we are. Bro, what happened last night?" LaMelo asked her.

"I... The last thing I remember is laughing at you for not being able to take tequila after that..." Juliette shook her head.

"The last thing I remember was the deal." LaMelo groaned, "Ugh, my head feels like it's about to crack in two."

That's right, the deal.

Before Juliette had gotten drunk, she had made a deal with LaMelo that if he was able to outdrink her, she would answer any question that he wanted.

Anything to get her off of his radar.

"Ugh," Juliette formed her dominant hand into a fist and was about to fling the ring across the room when she stared down at the jewelry in her palm, pieces of a very wrong puzzle clicking together in her mind.

"Yo..." LaMelo trailed off; his eyes stuck on the mahogany nightstand in front of him.

"What? Spit it out." Juliette commanded.

"It's a marriage license."

"What?" Juliette stormed over to his side on the bed.

Sure enough, there was a bright pink piece of paper bearing both of their names. 'Fast By Cupid hereby declares LaMelo Ball and Juliette Brooks to be husband and wife,' then at the bottom were two distinct but still very messy signatures.
