Lost in the minute of it all

Part 4

Ruby and Aiden went back to find the party the way they left it, only Ainsley wasn't trying to wrip Karma's extensions off. Regardless of how late it was, the party seemed chill. Ainsley was out of sight, probably passed out somewhere, and no one had seemed to leave yet.

Making his way to the Karaoke (arm interlocked with Ruby's) Aiden couldn't help but glance at River sitting by the coffee table, he had Amaya gripping on him like a koala as Krystal took a pic of the couple. They were accompanied by some of their Rainbow High peeps, pizza was scattered on the table like confetti.

Jade and Bella were there too. Aiden loved to his 'children' be happy, and as Bella kissed Jade on the cheek Aiden admired their bravery to be themselves. He aspired to be like them some day.

Disappointment struck Aiden when he got to Karaoke to find out Stella had left the building! Regardless, he still wanted a way to set free, it was a party after all. So what better way for him to let go than to do one of the things he enjoys the most: singing.

On his own, Aiden grabbed the mic and braced himself to slay another song. Lady Gaga's stupid love began to play, but before Aiden could even start singing, a rushed guy marched in out of nowhere.

"Alright let's do this thing!", he shouted energetically.

As much as Aiden didn't like the idea of performing with someone who's talents he had no knowledge of, he was relieved by the fact that he didn't have to perform alone.

With the delight of doing a Lady Gaga song, the duo gave a masterpiece of a show as their vocals came together in harmony.

"Man we were awesome up there, what's more...I think we sounded pretty good together", said Aiden's duet partner as they both got off stage right before Poppy blasted another one of her mashups throughout the house. The duo seemed to be so invested in their conversation, they ditched the now massive crowd and continued to talk as they escaped the dance floor.

"Yasss, you know Emerald, for a guy with a sprained ankle you ate up that performance"

"What, this old thing?", Emerald pointed at his bandaged ankle, "if I hear a Lady Gaga song I'm going to give it my all, ion care if my leg's gonna fall off".

He chuckled along with Aiden. Looking at Emerald smiling at him for 0.2 seconds made Aiden's heart jump a little bit. It was like a magnet that attracted Aiden with a great force-

"Omg babe, you killed that performance", a random chick through herself on top of Emerald as if he were property.

Aiden's smile faded. He may have just  considered getting over River thanks to Emerald, but he was hoping he would be single at the very least.

"Oh sorry, Aiden this is my girlfriend Maddie", Emerald held Maddie's hand as she delicately waved at Aiden. He waved back, still in shock.
