Bee found a rest stop that had plumbing, and Drift with Cade arrived shortly after. Hound and Cross rolled up as Cade and I disappeared into the men's side, Nanos formed a sign on the door saying 'Temporarily closed, sorry for the inconvenience,' and the door was locked after making sure no one else was around. First thing we did was wash our hair in the sinks. Quickly using the hand dryers to dry our hair before we began to dye it. Cade took the orange and turned his hair a dark ginger color while my hair turned bubblegum pink due to how blond my hair had become from living in Texas.

Once our hair was done, washed it again and dried. We used paper towels to wash our bodies and change in the stalls into fresh clothes. I stepped out of the stall to look at my appearance. Messy shoulder-length pink hair, tanned skin from long days in the sun, a gray tank top covered by a light green jacket, light blue knee-length shorts, and brown ankle boots with an ever so slight heel. I sighed as I turned to look at Cade in similarly styled clothes in mostly browns and greens.

"Let's get going," Cade said as I gathered everything we used and burned it. I waited until the flames died out before I left the rest stop to meet up with the others. "The Badlands," Cade said as I walked over to him as he leaned against Bee. I leaned against Hound who was parked next to Bee. "Sorry?" I asked confused. "Badlands, South Dakota. That's where the bots here decided on. Maybe we can find a junkyard or something like that to hide in. Cross suggests we take three different paths to get there. You and Bee, Drift and Cross, and me with Hound. Probably will draw more attention to ourselves if we stay together."

"That makes sense. Does that mean a meeting point was discussed?" I asked as I shifted slightly. Cade nodded, "Yeah they have coordinates to meet at and we will stick together till we get to Wisconsin." "Then let's get going," I said softly as I walked over to Bee and he opened the passenger door for me. I placed the dragon plushie into the driver's seat as I got comfortable. K-9 Nanos looked up at me and a box on the floor caught my eye. I looked out to Cade, "I separated our food supplies with the separation in mind." He told me as I nodded and closed the door. Bee pulled out after Cross did, Hound behind us and Drift behind him.

I fell asleep at some point so I awoke to Cade shaking me awake. "What?" I asked, my voice rough and thick with sleep. "Morning sleeping beauty, we just got to the start border so we pulled off to the side before we split up," Cade said as I climbed out to stretch my body. "You all be careful got it?" I asked as my eyes focused on the males around me. The bots nodded before they left, Cade leaving with Hound. I turned back to Bee to see that he had changed to his bipedal form. He looked down at me and offered his hand to me. I climbed on and he walked through the forest to reach the other path we would take.

Going for this walk, I felt really relaxed. Softly I hummed as we went, Nanos moved in swarm form, weaving around Bee and the trees as we continued on. At some point we had an open field to go through and I guess that's where things went wrong. I cried out in pain as I felt something pierce through my shoulder. Bee and Nanos reacted quickly, Bee spun to see a copter flying at us and Nanos wrapped around me and covered the wound. Bee quickly transformed around me and took off driving. I was shouting in fear and pain as Bee swerved and weaved through the trees, dodging them and the bullets that rained down on us.

"Fuck!" I screamed as I ducked down, Nanos forming a blanket shield around me and the supplies I have. My Dragon even got fully covered in armor to protect it from any bullets that got through Bee. The ground cleared of trees again and leveled off until we jumped the side and landed on the road where Bee was able to gain better traction and speed. I rolled down Bee's window and he beeped at me in a panic before I sent the swarm out, "Blind and take them out of the sky!" I cried out as Bee took off at a much higher speed. The gunfire stopped suddenly, causing me to look up at the sky in time to see the helicopter blade motor burst into flames.

It was going down, the humans inside were going to die and I felt no pity or regret for it. As the helicopter hit the ground, the swarm dissipated from the surfaces of it and raced after Bee to return to me. Once they were all back, I closed the window and Bee didn't slow down until he found a different path to take and my heart finally calmed down. I wiped away the tears that fell from my eyes from the bullet wound. "Are you alright?" Bee asked me through the radio. "I'll be okay. Just drive, I'm going to sleep this off, okay?" I said before I fell asleep into a fitful rest before he could respond.

Nearly 10 hours later we were still tense from the attack, we had a few close calls since then but have been able to get away when Bee scanned a new form, changing his colors at the same time. "I have a headache," I muttered as I curled up in the back seat. We had stopped for a moment so I could use the toilet and patch up my wound and wouldn't you know it, sudden adrenalin and a bullet wound decided that I wasn't bleeding enough so now even more pain from menstruation.

"I'm going to try sleeping again, Bee. When we get there just tell them to leave me be. Okay?" I asked as I held my dragon to my chest. Nanos wrapped around my stomach and back, producing heat to help with my pain. "Sleep well" I heard Bee said as I tried to get as comfortable as I could.
