Thor

Chapter 8 - Thor:

  Ingrid landed gracefully on the ground with Cap close behind. The plan was simple. Get Ingrid to let her roses break through the gates and break any kind of possible threat. From there on they would engage into combat and try to tear down the building along with any danger in it.

  Ingrid crouched down and placed her palms on the ground. The vines started moving on Ingrid's body and down into the ground.

  The people at the base were calm and didn't even see the small girl along with her partner, who was standing behind a tree.

  "Lavender, make sure that the vines go under the gates and the machines I see from here." Tony informed.

  "Got it." The girl concentrated and made the vines slowly surface and creep up the big machines and gates.

  "When I give the signal, Ingrid will tear down the gates and we shall enter into combat." Steve ordered and Ingrid smiled.

  "Understood." The rest of the team yelled.

  A few people started walking over to the place where Ingrid and Steve were hiding, but luckily Steve took care of them.

  "Alright Ingrid...." Steve stepped out of the shadows to shield the girl from up coming attacks. "Now!"

  Ingrid stood up and her vines strongly gripped their prey. The girl tool a deep breath and slightly pulled on them so the gates fell. The machines behind it were crushed into pieces and Ingrid called back her vines.

  Everybody moved in and Ingrid glanced up at the sky. She sent a small prayer to her brothers and moved in after Steve. The men that came at them were brutal and scary. Ingrid noted the evil glint in their eye and gulped. 

  Steve covered the girl who was a bit scared. It's not like Ingrid hasn't been in a fight before, but the uneasy feeling that something bad might happen was growing and eating her away. So she decided to be rational and a vine grew from her hand. It deformed itself and Ingrid quickly used it like a whip to catch one of the H.Y.D.R.A.'s agents around the neck and threw him at the next patch that was coming.

  "Nice handy work there Lavender."

  "Thanks."

  "Guys I have a clear visual on Thor." The information that Natasha provided to the team made Ingrid giddy and excited.

  "Alright." The Captain was suddenly in a bad mood. "Ingrid and I will meet up with him. We'll try to make as much damage as we can here. Send the Hulk as well."

  Ingrid caught Steve by the arm and used it to haul herself up and kick the man behind Steve. She then casually sat up on his shoulders and smiled down at him. Steve gulped.

  "The four of us will take care of the outside. In the mean time, tin can, agent Romanoff and agent Barton will get all the info on the thing inside." Ingrid added, as Steve seemed to be lost for words.

  "Maybe we should make Lavender the leader of this team." Tony muttered.

  "I heard that Stark." Steve grumbled.

  Ingrid slid down Steve's back and they ran outside only to dodge a flying tank. The Hulk roared and Ingrid casually stared at him, with a bored expression. Dustin was more scarier then the green mountain in front of her. 

  A man behind her tried to attack her, but she carelessly hit him in the nose with her fist, sending him down with a 'thump'.

  "Um... Ingrid, we have a problem." Steve interjected the stare off.

  Ingrid turned to look at the three foot tall machine before her. She nodded at Steve and he smiled. Ingrid took a head start run, while Steve crouched down and put his shield above his head. Ingrid stepped on it, and Steve threw her into the air. She hit the machine with her fist and it tumbled back. She was about to land on the ground, but the machine grabbed her and sent her flying into the nearby mountain range.

  "Ingrid!" Steve yelled out.

  Ingrid closed her eyes and waited for the impact but it never came.

  "Are you alright fair maiden?" Ingrid's eyes shot open to see a blonde haired god.

  "I-I'm fine." The girl stuttered.

  "Hold on tight." Ingrid held onto Thor for dear life.

  Thor swinged his hammer and they flew back into the direction of the battle. He landed gracefully and put Ingrid down. The girl was fuming mad because she had to meet the man of her dreams so disgracefully. 

  "Captain, Hulk and Thor. I would kindly ask you to get to high ground and possibly a few feet away." She was smiling but the threat was serious in her voice.

  The man jumped back and took cover. Even the Hulk did as he was told. Soon everybody was surrounding Ingrid and Hawkeye readied his bow and arrow. Black Widow was ready to jump but Cap showed them to stop.

  "What's happening?"

  "Ingrid said to get away, we took cover and we wait." 

  Ingrid sweetly smiled and took a deep breath, filling her lungs with air. She then let it out with a wave of spiky thorns that instantly killed the men and set the machine down.

  "Just how dangerous are you Lavender?" Tony asked.

  "More then you think."

  "Ingrid, agent Coulson's on the line. He wants to talk to you." Natasha called the girl out.

  Ingrid jumped down from the table on which she was being examined. She quickly followed the red headed woman and was soon met with Coulson on the wall.

  "Agent McAlister." Coulson greeted.

  "Hello agent Coulson." Ingrid smiled at the man.

  "Agent Romanoff, you may leave." Natasha skeptically looked at Coulson but nevertheless left. "How are you coping with the Avengers? They're not being too harsh on you for being the new kid on the block, right?"

  "Do not worry. They've all been helpful. Even Stark."

  "I'm glad to hear that." The man sighed in relief. "Now then, let's get back to serious matters." He cleared his throat and nodded at the girl. "We have a potential location on the whereabouts of your father." 

  Ingrid instantly straightened up and looked at the man. She was a bit scared because there was an unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach.

  "Where?"

  "A H.Y.D.R.A. base where they take people with powers and experiment on them."

  "Are you telling me that my father was captured?" 

  "Yes."

  "When do we leave?" Ingrid looked determined.

  "You are going nowhere." Another man said.

  This man looked older that Fury. He had old fashioned glasses on his wrinkled nose and a cane in his hand. Ingrid figured something was wrong. She thought Coulson was the director now, but these people had a different idea.

  "And you are?"

  "It is quite the honor to meet you General Major. I am Robert Gonzales."
