"So... when am I getting grand-babies!"

The question stuck out to you like a sore thumb. You were baffled by her persistence but could only muster up a bubbly smile.

"Pardon me, but what was the question?!" Keigo's mom giggled and grasped your hands in her own with a loving smile. She's a sweetheart and you knew that. She never meant any harm by her questions... she's just very... pushy!

"Kids! Are you guys planning to have kids!? Oh, I'm just thrilled at the thought of grandbabies! Besides, you're a beautiful girl! Your children will be gorgeous thanks to you! Of course, my son's genes may help... BUT YOU'RE THE REAL BEAUTY!" She chuckled as you giggled in response.

"Oh goodness... thank you kindly but we haven't even brought up children yet... we're only just getting married! Wouldn't that come later? Maybe a bit more later?" Keigo's mother nodded as the two of you gliding down the aisles of gowns and crowns.

"Awe... that's a shame. Maybe bring it up to my son! Usually, it's the men to be much more worried over children. I'm glad you want to be slow about it though!"

"I'm glad you understand..." His mom turned to you puzzled.

"Why wouldn't I? It's your body. You choose to carry a child or not. I'm only suggesting since I do miss having Keigo as a baby. Seeing him all grown up melts my heart with happy and sad feelings!" She pouted and spotted a beautiful crystalline crown with rubies and diamonds cascaded across it.

"... you're an Angel-" You immediately choked up on your words just hearing about how reasonable of a woman she was.

"Oh hun, I'm no Angel! I just have intelligence and let me tell you, my son does not have a brain most of the time!" She laughed out and placed the crown in the palms of your hands.

"Oh goodness-"

"Oh don't be pouty sweetheart, your going to be an amazing bride and wife! You seem like the type to boss people around, maybe you can get him to come to visit more often!"

"That would be lovely!" You exclaimed with bitter excitement.

"See?! You become more perfect by the minute! Now let's look for a veil for that pretty little head of yours!" The mom and daughter-in-law duo used the entire day chattering and bickering about the latest of issues. Big or small. Neither of them seemed to care. All that came from both of them were bubbly chit chatter.

You had spent that morning with Keigo trying to find that perfect cake, but the mother pushed him away and said the rest of the day as well... girls evening out. You enjoyed it all the while.

His mother spot a beautiful veil decked with rubies and diamonds just like your crown that seemed to also have a lengthy train that rain behind you.

It was perfect.

As if it were made for you.

Keigo lent you his card to pay but his mother was insistent on paying for your veil and crown.

"Hun, let me. Just call this your early wedding present!"

"Your too sweet to me!"

"And you're perfect and sweet to my family and son. Consider this my humble welcoming into our family!" She paid for the items as the two of you walked out to be met with Keigo and his father talking. His mother smiled and ushered you forward. Keigo thanking his mom then looked to you with a smile before waving his parents goodbye.

"So, how was your day with my mom?"

"Amazing... she's a sweetheart I hope you know that-"

"Really? Well, my mom is quite the gentlewoman!" Keigo piped up in laughter as the two of you walked down the street, hand-in-hand.

"She's quite the intelligent woman though."

"What makes you say that?"

"Oh, no reason! Though I love spending time with her! She's a doll to be around!"

"Well, that's great!"

"But-" You stopped walking and looked up to him concerned.

"But what?" Keigo smiled as concern plagued his eyes.

"She did ask... if we were going to have children-" You laughed a bit and rubbed the side of your arm.

"In time dove. In time. Right now let's focus on our love before we bring another life to give our love to, alright?" You nodded happily and deep down fucking glad he's better off waiting on having children.

"Yeah... in time!"
