Prologue - Say Hello to Despair!
Hope's Peak High... the school of yeah yeah whatever you guys get it right?
[Alex's POV]
I wake up and look around to find myself in a classroom I've never been in before. I look up for a clock on the wall. It's 7 pm!? How long have I been asleep for? Before anything else, I spotted a note on the table I slept on telling me to go to the gym. Confused, I reluctantly get up from my table and walk to the gym. The place looked like a school, only more weird looking. Is this even Hope's Peak anymore?
I was able to arrive at the gym to see other people, presumably my classmates, looking at me. After a bit of explaining, I find out that everyone were in the same situation I was in. Everyone introduces themselves to one another until a voice, a high pitched voice that seemed out of place, was heard from one of the speakers.
???: Ahem, ahem! Mic check, mic check! Mic check 1, 2, 3... mhm! It seems be working just fine!
???: Am I on? Can everybody hear me? Alrighty, then...!
???: Gooooood morning, students! The entrance ceremony will begin at... right now!
???: Please head to the gymnasi... oh! You're all here already?!
???: My, what competent students!
???: Well then, please wait for me to arrive. Thank you!
Just then from the table on the stage popped out a... bear?
Alicia: Huh? What, is that a teddy bear?
???: I'm not a teddy bear!
Koganekuma: I... am... Koganekuma!
Koganekuma: And I am this school's headmaster!
Huh? What's going on...? First I wake up in this bizarre place and now this... bear thing is talking to us!? And it's apparently the headmaster of this school? I don't remember Hope's Peak being this bizarre...
After a bit more talking from the Koganekuma, we had to bear with the reality of being stuck here with potential murderers. The killing game!? What the heck!? This is all too overwhelming... I hope to god that this is all a dream. A really bad dream. And when I wake up, I'll be back home.
Everyone left to go to their dorms with heavy faces. I can't blame them, I am too. I faceplant onto the bed, exhausted. I felt so tired for some reason, but I have hope that this isn't real and that my exhaustion is a sign that I'd wake up soon enough. It *has* to be. Otherwise, I... don't know what I'd do.
