Chapter Eight

Sub P.O.V

My eyes snapped open. I looked around, and I noticed I was in a hospital bed. Adam was hovering over me, his sunglasses were off, revealing beautiful hazel eyes. His cheeks were stained with tears. I looked at him with wide eyes and tapped his nose. He looked at me and gasped. "SUB! YOU'RE ALIVE!"

I nodded, and I signaled for something to write on. "Sub, talk." I shook my head. "Sub, just trust me." I rolled my eyes and said, "I can talk." I literally said it.

"I can talk!" I said loudly, then I started to cough. "Talk quietly, Shorty." I punched him lightly in the arm and he laughed.

"A-Adam," I asked. "How can I talk?"

"I paid for surgery. That's why you gotta talk low."

My eyes widened. "What? But...that costs so much money! Why did you do it?"

Adam smiled and intertwined his fingers with mine. I blushed and bit my lip.

"Because I love you."

My eyes watered. He truely did. And I loved him back.

I closed my eyes and leaned in until his lips were almost to mine.

"Just kidding."

My eyes opened quickly and I didn't see the loving Adam anymore. He snickered and punched me. I held my cheek and tears ran down my face. "I wouldn't love a gay little man like you! You're just a stupid, idiotic, WEAKLING!"

I screamed as he pulled out weapon. A gun. He grabbed the collar of my hospital robe and whispered into my ear, "See you on the other side, sweetie."

He laughed like a manic as he jabbed the handle of the gun to my throat. I screamed, and I felt my voice disappear.

Each of his hurtful words felt like a stab at my heart.

"NO ONE WILL LOVE YOU!"

"LITTLE GAY WEAKLING!"

"MAYBE THAT'S WHY YOUR PARENTS LEFT YOU!"

"WHY WOULD I LOVE YOU!?"

I was screaming. Screaming as he jabbed the gun into my windpipe. I stopped, twitching slightly. "Do you like this?" I asked raspily before I lost my voice completely.

I closed my eyes as he pressed the barrel to my head and squeezed the trigger.

"Wake up."
