Chapter Sixteen

Sky P.O.V

I had to warn Sub. I couldn't let this happen to him! Ty. It was all him.

He was jealous.

Jealous of Sub? Jealous of my affection for him?

I wish I could have taken the car instead of walking. That would've been smarter, because by the time I ran to Seto's house, my feet were numb and I fell in the grass. Panting, I forced myself to crawl to the door. My fingers gripped the brass handle and I slowly twisted it. I pushed it slightly, and crawled in.

"S-Sub?" I asked the darkness. That's odd. All the lights were out. "Seto? B-Brice? Anyone?"

I finally got the strength to stand up, and I paraded around for a while. That's when i heard it. A light plop. I looked down and noticed my shoe was dripping wet with an unknown substance.

Gently sliding my fingers across the substance, I felt my fingers quickly get sticky. It was thick and had a foul smell. A lightbulb appeared over my head. So I took out my phone, set it to 'Flashlight' and investigated the substance. "Oh my-ULP!" I tried to hold back bile burning the back of my throat. It was blood.

Blood on the walls, the floor, on the...well everything. Someone was attacked here, and the only name that came to my mind was..."SUB!"

I ran into the enchantment room and almost fainted.

Seto had a large gash in his torso, his eyes filled with tears, and he was soaking in a pool of blood. Beside him, was Brice, who had his mouth wide open, as if he were screaming, and a large shiny object clutched in his hands. Thank Notch they were still breathing, but barely.

"SETO!" I screamed, running up to him. I held his small face with my hands and set it on my lap. He coughed, blood spewing from his lips.

"S-Sky?" he asked, his chest moving shallowly. Seto smiled slightly, showing blood-stained teeth. "I-Is that you?"

I smiled as my tears fell on his face. "S-Seto! You're...alive!" Seto puckered his lips.

"Of course!" he said a little more energetically. "I'm a...sorcerer. Now, i-is Brice okay?"

I smirked. "You care about him don't you Seto?" Seto looked at me and blushed. He bit his lip. I looked away and sighed. I crawled over to Brice and shook his softly.

He jolted awake, jutting the object-which turned out to be a small knife- in the air, frantically screaming, "DON'T TOUCH HIM!" I yelped, and Seto crawled towards Brice, placing his hand on Brice's cheek. Brice stopped, and placed his hand overtop of Seto's.

"Y-You're alive?" Brice asked, almost inaudible. Seto chuckled, and nodded. Brice was crying now, and he pulled Seto into a deep hug. I smiled. The fragile sorcerer was probably being crushed. Seto whimpered, and I was reminded that he had a large wound in his torso. When Brice pulled away, his shirt was stained in blood, and Seto was whimpering.

"It's okay, Seto," Brice cooed, playing with Seto's soft chocolate hair. "You're safe now."

I was too busy caught up in this adorable Setosolace moment, I yelled out, "SUB!"

Seto's eyes widened, and Brice suddenly stopped. They were frozen in place. Slowly, Seto's head turned to face me.

"I'm sorry, Sky," Seto croaked. I didn't...no. No. Not again.

"Sky, Sub was taken." Seto whispered. My fists clenched, and I grit my teeth.

"There were people here. They attacked us. And...and Brice and I tried to stop them, but I got stabbed, and Brice got hit with a pipe. And people started to choke me, so Brice stabbed him in the hand. But Brice got knocked out, and the last thing I saw was a short pale boy, dragging Sub, who was...all bloody and pale. And crying. I had enough energy to cast a single spell of protection on him, but it's temporary. Then, I blacked out."

I felt anger bubble up inside me. Wasn't Sub hurt enough. Night was falling, but I didn't care. We have to find Sub.

"We have to find him," I whispered harshly.

"B-But!" Seto said. "We don't know who did it!"

"I do," I smirked. "T-y."

"TY?!" They both exclaimed at once. I nodded and noticed a movement in the dark corner.

I saw the quick flash of light reflecting off of glass...Joesph.

"Come out!" I yelled. "I know you're there!"

Joesph yelped and ran out the corner. He was stained in blood too, and I grabbed his hoodie. He was thrashing around, whimpering. "Hey," I said soothingly. "Calm down. We need a favor."

He looked at me and sighed. He stopped thrashing and hung his head low. "I'll tell you where Tyler lives. But only, if you bring with you an army. Tyler likes fair battles."

I nodded. "Great. I have the perfect army."

The Sky Army.

Now, we were prepared for war.
