Chapter 5

I walked down to that street, I saw a girl bringing in a box of tomatoes. She coughed a little. She went inside. "Here take this." She said. I'm assuming that was her mother. "Thanks" the girl said. She drank medicine.

I looked on her door. It was the same thing as the Fortune teller said. I knocked on the door. The mother opened it. "Hello?" She asked. "Hi. Do you know anything about Maria?" I asked. "Yeah. She used to have a protector/pet. Then she had to give it to space." The mother said.

"What did it look like?" I ask. "Oh I have plenty of photos." She says. She takes some out of her pocket. There was a black and red baby thing. I think that was me. Then she looks at me. Then the photo. Then me again. "Is that you?" "I'm assuming." I say. "Does this name recommend? Shadow?" She asks. "T-That's my name." I say.

"Oh you must come inside!" She says. The girl looks up. "Shadow! What are you doing here?!" "I am here to see my owner." I say. Her mother whispers to her. "Maria, your its owner." "Yeah I know..." She says. "I'm just glad to see shadow again." She smiles.

"So, did you meet any friends?" She asks. I nod. "Yeah. I meet sonic, tails, knuckles, and Amy." "Oh. That's great!" She says. "Yeah." I nod. She coughs a little. "I see that you are ill." I say. "Yeah. She caught something bad." Her mother says. "We just cant figure out what... I remember when we when to the hospital to see our cousin mark. We had to were a mask just in case if he's Contagious." "Oh. Well, cross your fingers it's not." I say.

"Well, I have it be going. I should look for danger." I say. "That is fine go ahead deer." I wave to Maria and her mother. They both wave back. "I will be back!" I say. I run out the door.
