Chapter 4

-Wonyoung's pov-

-Three months later-

Nothing has happened since that interaction, I received nothing from her. No calls, no texts, no visitations and still no explanation. It's funny when I said that I'll get her back, but I am waiting for her like a damn fool.

I could only sigh in disappointment.

"Wonyoung ah"

I looked at the voice and there is my dad looking at me worriedly.

"I don't want to be like those parents who rush their kids to get a job, but you've been here for three months acting all hopeless. You shouldn't even feel that way as many sponsors would go after you."

He's right, I've been too focused on thinking of ways to fix my love for Minju that I forgot about myself. I forgot, that I am on break, I forgot that I am an artist.

I even dreamt of acting back then, I'll try just that.

"You're right, I'll try auditioning for dramas. I'll tell the company, I'll be an actress for now. What do you think Dad?"

"Try lesbian dramas."

I almost choked myself at what he said, I don't even have something in my mouth for goodness sakes!

"Why?"

He smiled at me.

"To show people you're gay?"

I just smiled sadly at him.

"You know that's the reason Minju unnie broke my heart. She was afraid of the consequences, She was afraid of what people would think, I'd be willing to make it public, but she does not."

He just sighed and proceeds to hug me. He was always this affectionate towards me, ever since mom died. I am thankful to have such an understanding father it made me cry.

"As far as I'm concerned, you and my ex members are the only one who accepted me for who I am."

He pats my back, he's so gentle.

"Everything will be fine, trust me. Some broken things can be fixed."

-Flashback-

-March 19, 2019-

-Still Wonyoung's pov-

I hate the scene I am watching right now.

I can't believe Yujin unnie beat me again.

"Hey Wonyoung!"

Yena unnie was about to say something, but she was as shocked as I am. Yujin and Minju exchanging kisses.

Yena unnie grabbed my arm.

"Wonyoung, let's leave."

"S-sure."

My heart is shattering, Yujin unnie. She beats me in dancing, singing and many people say that she deserves center, not me. I always believed that. Now she beats me in love as well.

I just look at Yena unnie and smiled.

"Guess I was right, I never had the chance."

-December 19, 2019-

The voting scandal spread like wildfire and the group was in shambles. It was even confirmed, our comeback was postponed, people suddenly wants us to disband. I felt worst, I didn't deserve the center, Sakura unnie may tell me that I was born with it, but with the voting manipulations being true and the true winners were revealed, I just lost it.

"Yujin ah, what are you saying."

I looked behind me and Jinjoo were fighting. I just sighed, this scandal is tearing us apart and I hate it.

"I said let's break up, I just used you as a rebound, because Nako unnie rejected me."

Wait what? I was shocked with the sentence, Yuji and Nako unnie? I got angry and pushed Yujin unnie away and hugged Minju unnie.

Yujin unnie was glaring at me, she's really scary.

"Why did you hurt Minju unnie?"

Yujin unnie just laughs at me.

"Shouldn't you be happy? You can her all for yourself."

I froze, she knew? I feel myself shaking.

"Don't pretend to be shocked, I know you wanted us to break up right from the start."

Yujin unnie is burning holes with her glare.

"Minju unnie pretends to be densed, but she's likes you as well."

S-she likes me?

"So don't look at me, like I am the bad guy."

"I have to thank you Wonyoung ah. To be honest she was so annoying to be with tha-

I punched her in the face, She was too much. I can't bear seeing Minju unnie cry because of her words.

After that punch she had a bit of a cut in her lip and she's looking at me with an expressionless face.

"Wonyoung ah, we never fought with the years we've been together, you wanna know why?"

She punched me straight to the gut. I feel down the ground as the pain was too much.

"Because *punch* the fight *punch* will be *punch* one sided!"

She just kept punching me in the face, I was having bruises. She was stronger than me

"Yujin ah, please stop."

I tried covering up and I see Minju frozen with tears, begging for Yujin unnie to stop punching me.

"Yujin, what are you doing?!?!"

All of a sudden I don't feel her punch anymore. I was losing my consciousness, The last thing I see are the unnies holding Yujin back as I closed my eyes.

-3 hours later-

I woke up 30 minutes ago and now Minju unnie is putting ice in my right eye. It makes me wince, but I am cherishing this moment, I can't help but blush. Thank goodness my black eye was the main attraction right now.

"T-thanks unnie."

Minju puts down the ice pack and looks me in the eye.

"Wonyoung ah, is it true?"

I started getting nervous, her face is very close to mine. Oh my gosh, are we about to kiss right now?

"H-huh?"

"What Yujin said earlier, You're in love with me?"

It's now or never I guess, no use lying now.

"I am, I am crazy in love with you."

"I love how you work very hard, I love how you never gave up back then, I love how kind you can be, I just couldn't stop myself from falling."

"You are more than just a pretty face unnie, that's not the reason I fell for you. You are something more."

"I wish things could have been different."

"I wish I fell in love with you instead Wonyoung ah."

She was leaving and I quickly held her down.

"Give me a chance unnie, I'll make you fall for me. I'll treat you better than her."

She was shocked, but I didn't care, I don't want to give up now, this is my chance.

"I love you so much, I'll prove it to you, but only if you let me."

"B-but"

"Trust me unnie, I won't hurt you. I promise."

"Okay, I accept Wonyoung ah."

Nothing made me happier on that day, I was in cloud 9.
