The next day passed by uneventfully. Damian did his best to avoid his father and Bruce avoided him. Damian had gotten confirmation that both Jon and Colin would be joining him at Jason's and Tim's that night so when evening came Damian dressed in his nice casual clothes, a leather jacket and walked off to drive away. He stopped by the kitchen on his way out.
"Hi Al, are the pies ready?" Damian smiled at the grandfather figure that gestured to a paper bag with at least five pies.
"As requested."
"Thank you Alfred." At that moment Bruce entered the kitchen, stopping as he saw Damian in his outside clothes and the bag of food.
"Going somewhere?" The question might have seemed innocent but Damian picked up on the annoyance that was hidden behind the words. He turned with a scowl to his father.
"Yes. Is that alright or are you going to ground me?" Bruce's face turned into a scowl.
"I was just asking Damian." Damian picked up the food and started walking to the door.
"Todd and Drake are having a small dinner party. If you need me I'll be there. But don't bother me unless necessary." Before Bruce could answer back Damian was out the door. Bruce sighed. Then looked to Alfred who was shaking his head in disappointment over the father and son.
Damian drove into Gotham and to Jason's and Tim's place. It was a penthouse in the nicer parts of Gotham. He parked on the street and turned off the car but then just sat there. He was fuming. He and Bruce couldn't seem to get along for a second anymore. They were supposed to be father and son. The dynamic duo. Batman and Robin. But the reality was that Bruce and Damian didn't interact unless they were arguing. And Batman and Robin had not patrolled or worked together on any cases for at least a year. Damian was pulled from his thoughts as he heard a knock on the window. Damian turned to look and immediately felt better as he saw the freckled face framed by the red hair.
"Hi handsome, you lost? Cause heaven is a long way away from here." Damian facepalmed.
"Enough with the pick up lines Colin, we are already dating." Colin gave a smug grin.
"Only because I tied your shoes together so you fell for me." Damian groaned in frustration. Colin opened the passenger side door and got the pies as Damian walked out, then locked the car. They waited until they had walked inside the building before charging a loving kiss.
"I've missed you Dami."
"I've missed you to Colin, I think I really need some cuddles tonight." Collins eyes went wide and a smile spread on his lips.
"Really, you never let me and Jon cuddle you."
"I do."
"Not without complaining about it."
"Oh I'm still going to complain. I have too or Jon will realise I actually like being squished in a sandwich." Damian grinned and Colin laughed. They stepped into the elevator.
"Maybe if you're lucky, you'll get more than cuddles tonight." Colin smirked and Damian kept his cool face on.
"I'm not sure I want more than cuddles tonight." Colin moved closer, trapping Damian in one of the corners. Damian felt his cheeks heat up.
"You forget princess, that isn't your decision." Collin's voice was low and lustfull, his eyes stared deep into Damians. The blush on Damians cheeks was more prominent now and Colin took a hand gently stroking over it. Damnit, Damian was easy.
There was a ping as the elevator reached the top floor and the two stepped out into the hall of the penthouse apartment where they were greeted by Tim.
