The cold wind was pressing its way up inside Damian's jacket and he couldn't help but shudder. Jon on the other hand was un-faced, unknown to Damian, whether did not affect the half-alien.
"Uh, fuck I hate the harbour." Damian said as he cuddled closer against the crate they were hiding behind. Jon looked back at his ex boyfriend and realised that he was freezing and not emitting enough body heat.
"You ok Ian?" Jon asked in a low voice and got glared at by two beautiful green eyes in response.
"No it's freaking cold, how are you not freezing?" Jon bit the inside of his cheek. He wanted to tell Damian so bad. Tell him about his powers, about their past, about the Supersons. But he knew that he needed to wait. Wait until they had talked to Talia. Hopefully Damian would regain some or even all of his memories.
"Don't know, genetics I guess." Jon answered with a half smile, he looked at the harbor one last time, but still no sign of the assassins boat. He crawled back and leaned on the crate. Damian immediately cuddled up against Jon, giving a pleased hum as Jon's body heat warmed his side. Jon couldn't help a smile from forming on his lips. "You are so cute." He whispered and Damian glared up at the taller male.
"Am not!" Jon smiled wider.
"Like a little kitty cat, curling up against me." Jon teased and Damian scrunched his nose in anger.
"You are warm, sue me!" Jon grinned and put an arm over Damian's shoulder, bringing him closer. God he wished Damian knew of his powers. He could have just flown them to Infinity island instead of having to wait for Talias boat to arrive. Jon had made contact with her by using the smoke system that Damian had told him about long ago. And to the best of his understanding Talia had replied that she was sending transportation, in the docks. But not when, so they had been sitting in the docks for 32 hours at that point. Colin coming with food and keeping the bat family off their tails. It was up to Colin to cover for both Damian and Jon while they were away, because if Bruce knew what they were doing he would lock Damian away and never let Jon see him again. And if his own father knew that he was sneaking away and communicating with the league of shadows he would be grounded for the rest of his life. Damian laid his head on Jon's shoulder and closed his eyes. Jon bit his lip. He wanted to tell Damian how much he loved him, he wanted to say it, but he still didn't really know what Damian wanted them to be. They had had sex, they had spent almost everyday of the last week together, and they had kissed. But Jon still felt unsure, because in the end, he wanted a relationship with Damian, and even if he seemed similar. Ian was not Damian. Jon sighed heavily, his breath freezing in the air. Damian looked up at him.
"Are you alright, Jon?" Jon looked down, meeting the stare of the green eyes he loved so much. Those eyes could melt your heart.
"Yeah, I just... " Jon contemplated his words. He knew what he wanted to say. 'I miss you.' But could he really say that? "It's nothing Ian. Don't worry about it." Jon finally said, defeated. Damian clearly didn't believe the younger but didn't push. They sat there in silence. The only sound being the wind that hollered at them and the water storming against the docks.
Damian wanted to speak, ask Jon about everything, about them. He could tell there was so much history between them. So many memories and feelings that he simply didn't know. What would he do if talking to his mother didn't work? What if he never remembered? Should he live with just the knowledge but not the memories? He closed his eyes again, resting his head against the crate.
'I betcha it's penguin'
'No way it's mr freeze.'
'And what would he be receiving in a shipment, Replacement?'
