Chapter 6: What's Happening To Me

I stood there, tears threatening to spill across my face. I was so shocked, but mostly angry as hell. I feel this energy rise up in me, like a new power of sorts. I suddenly walk over to Hunter, and I push him. He goes flying fast into the wall. What's going on with me!? The power slowly leaves my body and is instantly filled with regret.

"Oh my god, Hunter are you ok. I'm so sorry, I don't know what happened!" I said, his body laying on the floor. He makes no response, only groans.

"It's happening." He says to me. "I knew you were close, but not this close." He stands up, groaning in pain. I can tell he wants to tell me something. But he can't find the words.

"What's wrong with me Hunter, where did I get all of that energy from?" Fear courses through my veins. I've never felt a rush of emotion like that before. It's like all my anger balled up into one and went out in a force.

"Your changing Violet, you becoming one of us," he said.

"What are you, I mean your human, but you say I'm becoming one of you, what are you?" I say, trying not to sound rude.

"I am a supreme. We are humans, but with special abilities. We can use our energy in battle and we're stronger than most, that's why you kinda body slammed me into the wall, your anger went into your strength. There are tons of abilities you have, but I won't go into detail just yet." He says to me. I've heard of supremes before, but only as a childhood tale. When my mom was alive, she used to tell me stories of the supremes and the adventures they went on. I always wondered what it would be like being a supreme.

"What if the next time I get angry I end up killing somebody? I don't want this Hunter." I say sobbing. He walks over to me and holds me tightly against his strong chest. I feel so calm being wrapped in his arms, I feel so welcomed.

"This is why I'm here, this is why you met me. Not by accident, on purpose. My brother, he's the Grand Supreme, kinda like king, except he's a different kind of person (THE PIC ON THE SIDE). Anyways he watched over you until it was time for you to have someone train you, to protect you. So basically I'm like your guardian angel, except I'm not dead." He says with a chuckle.

"Your one sexy looking guardian angle," I say to him flirtatiously. He looks at me straight in the eyes and lays his hands on my waist. Suddenly I feel another heightened emotion, except it's just as strong as when I was angry. It's like I want to kiss Hunter and throw him on the bed and have my way with him. Lust...it doesn't feel regular, it's like it's x10, which is not good. My breathing starts to quicken. Then the feeling slowly goes down.

"Hunter, are all my emotions heightened like this, when I feel something, it feels a lot more powerful than normal, does that always happen?" I ask him.

"Yes, I will help you control all of your emotions. Come with me, I wanna take you somewhere. Let's go find Courtney so we can all go together. She has something to tell you also." He says to me.

"Ok, where would Courtney be if she was flirting with my brother?" I said to Hunter.

We both say in unison "Stephen's bedroom" we both groan as we walk down the hallway to Stephen's room.

"What do you think they're doing in there?" Hunter says to me. I wonder to my self 'What ARE they doing in there?'

"Bet you dinner tonight he's making out with her by now," he says to me. He holds out his hand to shake in agreement.

"Your on!" I say as I shake his hand. I slowly open the door so they couldn't hear me. And surprise surprise, they're both on Stephens bed. I stand with a fake shocked look on my face, but they still don't see or hear us.

"AHEM" Hunter coughs, exaggerating the sound. They both swing their heads around to see Hunter with crossed arms, shaking his head. And me with the dumbfounded look on my face. They both blush deeply.

"Oh hey guys, what's up?" Courtney says, lips swollen.

"Oh nothing much Court, me and Stephen were just discussing plans for tonight but I see you already have your own." I say with an attitude.

"Sorry, I didn't know we were going anywhere else today. Stephen, I will call you later, ok?" She says to my brother.

"Ok babe, see--" he couldn't even finish his sentence because of me.

"Babe! Nobody calls anybody babe around here. At least I hope not!" I yell at the both of them.

"Calm down, babe" Hunter says to me. I swear that boy pushes my buttons sometimes. "Look, we gotta go Courtney, you coming or not?" Hunter asks Courtney.

"Yeah, bye Stephen!" She says, planting him a quick kiss goodbye before leaving his room. "So guys where we going?" She says, walking downstairs.

"We're going to IHOP for dinner!" I say to Courtney.

"IHOP, for dinner?" She asks me. "That's brilliant, let's get going though, I'm starving. We're taking my car since its the fastest." She tells us. She drives a black Mercedes-Benz, just like the one Stephen has. How...nice? Courtney gets in the drivers seat while I sit in the back with Hunter. Only because I like sitting in the back. Once we drive off Courtney starts to talk. "So Violet, did you know that I am a supreme as well?" She asks me. "Me and Hunter were both sent by his brother to protect you and be nice to you. We're gonna teach you everything you need to know about being a supreme, we'll train you everyday until your the best supreme you could possibly be," She says kindly. I'm glad I have her as a friend.

"So what happens when my training is done, am I gonna loose you guys as friends?" I say. I don't want to loose Hunter or Courtney.

"No, of course not Violet. Were you friends, we'll always be here for you." I swear, that girl is too sympathetic. I feel Hunter place his hand on my thigh, which slightly turns me on.

"Just wait until we're at the restaurant." He whispers in my ear. Chills run down my spine.

*At IHOP*
"I'll have the big steak Omelet" Hunter says to the blonde waitress who's been flirting with him since she brought our drinks back. I can't help but feel a hint of jealousy in my tone.

"I'll have the same thing." I say to the waitress twirling her extensions at Hunter. I slam my menu down so she would stop being so annoying.

"Me too, same here." Courtney says also, sipping on her iced tea.

"And do me a favor and stop." Hunter says to the waitress. She storms off unexpectedly. Hunter keeps rubbing his hand on my thigh underneath the table. We're at a booth, Courtney sits on one side, I sit on the other side with Hunter. I swear this boy is tempting me, him knowing I'm still unfamiliar with my heightened emotions. After the waitress comes back 20 minutes later with our food, we eat, make small talk and leave.

"Where are we going now?" I ask Hunter. Apparently Courtney took a wrong turn. "I thought I was going home?"

"Oh you are going home, to Peirsomnia." Hunter says to me, he has excitement in his eyes. He must be taking me to his hometown! Courtney starts chanting a weird rhyme and then we're transported into a new place, like a forest, but with houses all over. This must be Peirsomnia! It even has a huge castle. Considering his brother is the grand supreme, he must live in that castle.

"Indeed, we do." Hunter says, almost like he read my mind. "Did I forget to mention supremes can read minds." He says to me, winking at me. I just roll my eyes at him.

"Ah brother, I see you made it, come, bring the supreme." I hear a voice behind Hunter. I see a tall 6 foot something figure with blue eyes and jet black hair. Damn, he's just as cute as Hunter, if not cuter. I've got to learn how to control these emotions.
