Not A Happy Welcome Back

Nicki P.O.V

Chris is coming home today. I'm not so thrilled about that right now. I been up all night thinking bout it.

"Nicki, baybeh. Ya should be sleep. Wassup?"

"Nun, August. I'm just nervous about Chris coming home today. I'm still scared to tell him."

"Aye, I told ya I was gon be right by ya side. Na' don' be stressin' cause I got ya." He started to massage my shoulders.

"Okay. I'll try." I smiled. He returned the smile.

"So what time ya need ta pick him up?"

"I don't know. I might go pick him up later on at about 12:00." I yawned.

"Okay. Wake me up den." He laid back down.

11:57 p.m.

I stood outside the gate, waiting for Chris to be released. They taking to long. I looked again and he walked out.

My heart started racing. He walked over to me and got in the car without even saying hey.

When we got to house and Chris opened the door, everybody yelled 'surprise!' That kinda put a smile on his face.

August P.O.V

I walked ova ta Nicki and wrapped ma arm around ha.

I leaned down an' whispered in ha ear. "Ya told him yet?"

"No. I wanna get him alone so he won't make a scene."

"Ima try ta get him upstairs." I kissed ha cheek before walkin away.

"Ayo, Chris. Me and Nicki needa talk ta ya upstairs real quick."

Upstairs in the room

Chris P.O.V

I sat on my bed, staring up at August and Nicki. They looked nervous. I wonder why?

Nicki took a deep breath. "Chris, I'm sorry to tell you this, but me and August are together now."

To be honest I was hurt. But I didn't show it cause Jessica told me they had kissed.

"You serious right now? You just gon leave me for another nigga? Nicki, I can't-" I stopped myself.

"Nah, this is good. Y'all too belong together. I knew you was hoe from the day I met you." I laughed.

"Yo, don't be callin ha no hoe. Ya da one dats da dumbass." August pushed her back.

"Nigga, you betta get the fuck up out my face." I growled.

"Come on, Nicki." He pulled her into his arms and left out.

I clenched my fists before I punched the wall hard. My chest heaved up and down as I fell on the bed.
