The coffee shop I stopped at was small. When I went to it, it usually was small. But this day it wasn't cute, it was cramped.

I pushed down the feeling of uneasiness and I stepped up to order. The cashier gave me a friendly smile as he always did.

"The usual." I said feeling cool for being able to say that.

"What?" The boy asked.

"The usual." I repeated feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Oh what's that?"

"Oh-um." I stuttered. I went to that coffee shop every day, and the boy I have every day didn't even know my order?

"I'm screwing with you." The boy said smiling.

I let a wary breath out and ran a hand through my hair.

"I thought you forgot your favorite customer."

"You're not my favorite, there's this girl who comes here more than you..." The boy trailed off.

"Shut up." I said punching him in the arm lightly.

He smiled cutely and started on my drink.

"I've never caught your name."

I started to smile a bit, I liked this kid.

"Her names Ryan." A deep voice said before I could respond.

I turned around to see Lucas leaning against one of the small booths.

"No her name." He said laughing.

"Her name's Ryan." Lucas said rolling his eyes.

The boy laughed, then seeing my reaction he stopped.

"Oh sorry. Um, I'm Sam."

"Safe it, I'll take a coffee."

"Um any sweeteners?-" Sam started.

"Black coffee." Lucas repeated slowly.

The boy nodded quickly then scurried off.

"What the hell?" I whispered angrily. How did Lucas Williams even find this place?

"I've decided to walk you to school today." Lucas said smiling then in a second his face snapped into a scowl.

"Why?" I asked slowly.

"I just want to get to know you."

"If only I believed that." I frowned sarcastically.

"How did you even find this place?"

"I did some research." Lucas shrugged.

"Stalked you mean?"

"You can call it that if you like."

"I will."

"One black coffee and vanilla latte." Sam said scurrying to us.

"Thanks." Lucas said setting a ten dollar bill on the countertop.

"Nice officially meeting you!" I called back to Sam as Lucas pushed me out the door.

Sam smiled nervously then turned his focus back to his work.

Once Lucas and I were in the chilly air I stopped.

"I don't want to walk to school." I said bravely.

"To bad." Lucas said running a hand through his already messy light hair.

Before I could protest Lucas was already grabbing my arm. He led me down the streets as the sun was starting to rise.
