What infuriated Pansy Parkinson the most about Astoria Greengrass dating Draco Malfoy was how perfect they were for each other. Pansy had endured Draco's cheating and lying for all those years because she believed she'd eventually be able to marry him. Families from the Sacred 28 were running out of people they could marry without the danger of intermarriage. Although Pansy didn't have that prestige of pedigree, hers wasn't the worst either, in fact no other girl in Slytherin outside of Daphne and Astoria, could compare.

The Greengrass' roots weren't British, so it was still safe for them to have children, however during the war, the Greengrass Family had always stood neutral. This started a small dent in the relationship of the two families. Bellatrix Lestrange, Draco's maternal aunt, would have never allowed Draco to date a Greengrass. Both Hugo and Augustus weren't marked, which meant they could not be trusted. This gave Pansy the upper hand, she never saw Draco and Astoria talk, therefore she never thought to be weary of Astoria. Daphne was so in love with Marcus Flint therefore that left Pansy in the perfect position to snag the Slytherin Prince.

After the Battle of Hogwarts and the defeat of Lord Voldemort, Draco came to her. That year, they had barely the opportunity to see each other. Draco didn't come back to Hogwarts and so it had only been during the Holidays they got to meet. Mostly they just fucked. But Pansy was sure that after how dedicated of a girlfriend she had been to him, he'd propose to her right then and there. Instead he said, "I've changed Pansy, I can't be your boyfriend anymore."

Pansy convinced herself that it was just a phase. How could he have changed that much? Eventually he would see that she was perfect for him. But now he was dating Astoria. How could Pansy compete with that?

"Daphne, do you want to go shopping with me? I've got to pick out a new outfit for my dinner with Draco tomorrow" says Pansy, loudly. She was sitting on the balcony with Daphne at the Greengrass Estate. Astoria had just walked out into the garden below with a House Elf to pick some roses.

"I don't appreciate being used by you to taunt my little sister" Daphne says, crossly. The fuck you care about that bitch? You've refused to talk to her for months now.

"I don't know what you're talking about Daph, its a business meeting, I simply don't know what to wear for something like that, I'm used to wearing things to seduce men, and you're so classy and professional... that's why I'm asking for your help, but if you think of me that way... I guess I'll just go alone" sighs Pansy, doing her best to sound upset.

"No.. I'm sorry Pansy, I'm just in a bad mood" says Daphne quickly. Daphne's always too sweet for her own good, what an idiot.

"So you'll come with me later?" asks Pansy.

"Sure" says Daphne, smiling politely.

A large owl swooped past Pansy and Daphne carrying a beautifully wrapped parcel. Pansy knew right away that the owl belonged to Draco Malfoy. It landed next to Astoria. Daphne was preoccupied with her embroidery she was making for Marcus, and Pansy took the opportunity to watch Astoria open the parcel.

Astoria smirked, Draco was upstairs in her room that overlooked the courtyard balcony Pansy and Daphne were currently having Afternoon Tea on as well as the garden Astoria was in to collect some roses to bring over to dinner tonight with his parents. He must have sent this by owl purposely knowing Pansy was once again trying to make her jealous. She opened the box slowly, and to her utter embarrassment, inside was the most beautiful lingerie set she had ever laid eyes on.

Draco smirked as he saw Pansy fume in her seat and Astoria blush and bite her lips. The lingerie set was perfect for the vintage velvet black dress she picked out the other day when out shopping with Draco. Her dress had a specific V cut, when trying it on in the fitting, parts of her bra could be seen popping out, which Draco teased her for exposing to him on purpose, claiming her to be secretly seducing him. So without a card of explanation, Astoria knew he picked this set fo her specifically to wear tonight.
