¡! ❞ 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟓𝟎

*FLASHBACK TO APRIL 17TH, 2020

Artemis and Toto walk back to their home in England. Toto obviously knows what will happen when they arrive. Charles had approached Toto last week after the race, saying he wanted to do something for Artemis' birthday.
     "Dinner was delicious, thank you," Artemis smiles. Toto looks down at his oldest child and smiles.
     "You are welcome princess. How was your day?" he asks. Artemis' shoulder slump a bit down.
"A bit lonely, actually. I thought me and my friends were going to hang out but none of them were available."
"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Let's go home quickly and tuck you in bed."
"That would be lovely."

Toto allows Artemis to enter the house first and gets his phone ready to film. Artemis walks into the living room when suddenly the lights go on and people cheer loudly. Artemis yelps as they catch her totally off guard.
Artemis sees Charles, Lando, George, Daniel, Alex. Max, Pierre, Kimi, Sebastian, Lewis, Valtteri, Carlos and Romain. Behind them there a huge banner with HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARTEMIS

"Guys," Artemis breaths, starts to tear up, "you didn't forget." Charles is the first one to step down and embraces Artemis is a hug.
     "Of course we didn't forget," he beams, "that would make me the worst best friend." Charles has his hand behind her back and guides her to the table where she meets a cake.
     "Oh my god," she laughs. Toto peeks over her shoulder and laughs, "creative, Charles."

"Make a wish," says George smiling. Artemis blows the candles and closes her eyes as she makes a wish. She smiles as she opens her eyes to see these people she is used to grow up with.
     "It's so great to see you guys around me," she smiles. All the men are smiling but it turns into smirking as they present their presents.
"Oh no, you didn't-" "Yes, we obviously had to Artemis!" Lando interrupts and sends a sweet smile.

They spent like half an hour giving Artemis presents. She received perfumes, books, necklaces, bracelets, F1 stuff from the other teams and more.
     "Oh my god," she says, "you guys are insane." They all giggle as they obviously enjoyed it.
     "You are part of the family," Sebastian smiles.

It then was time for cake and drinks. The party has officially begun. Artemis stood in the kitchen, cutting the cake. George comes around the corner and sneaks up behind Artemis.
     "Hey," he softly greets, "I have another small present." Artemis turns around to face him.
     "But you already gave me a book," says Artemis. George giggles as he retrieves a small present from his pocket. Well, men's pockets are big.
     "Here," he smiles. Artemis raises her eyebrow as she start to unwrap his present. George nervously waits for her reaction.

"George," she breathes, "you shouldn't have." She holds the bracelet in between her fingers and wraps her arms around his neck.
     "I wanted to," he whispers and pulls back but leaves no space between them.
     "I hope no one comes around the corner," he whispers as he captures her lips.

Charles walks towards the kitchen to support Artemis with the cake but he abrupts his steps. He looks at the pair and looks into the living room.
"Yea, the cake is incoming!" Charles calls a little loud. George pulls back and steps back. They both glance into the direction of the voice and see Charles.
He winks and walks away.
