Sounds of metal clacking, people speaking, and other unknown sounds awaken Laurene. She was laid in a bed, which was locked inside a cell. She sat up, her eyes dry and itchy, she rubs them. She blinks a few times, her vision clears. People mumble ahead of her, their conversation unheard. She slowly shuffles her legs off the edge of the bed, sitting quietly, observing her surroundings.

She whispers to herself, "I need to find Ryu...he has to be alive." This alerts the guards, who turn their attention towards her. They approach the door, "ma'am, you're awake." Laurene doesn't respond. The guards look at eachother, then back at her. One sighs, "ma'am, you're an angel, what were you doing in the demon's cave?" She doesn't respond.

The other shrugs and steps away, leaving the area, a door closes behind him. The remaining guard steps back, grabbing a chair, slowly bringing it to the cell, sitting before her, "I'd like an answer, ma'am." She looks at him, remaining silent. "You tested as an angel, why was that? Why were you with the demons? It makes no sense to me, ma'am, it's almost like you were-"

"I'm a demon," Laurene says sternly. The guard was caught off guard (no pun intended), he leans forward, narrowing his eyes, "no, you ain't." This angers Laurene, "I am. A demon." She stands, approaching the cell door. She grabs the bars, yanking with all of her strength, tearing it off it's hinges. The guard leaps back, pulling out a stun-stick, clicking it on, it glows blue, sparks of electricity emit from it.

"Ma'am, I don't want to hurt you," the guard says, expertly swaying the stick back and forth. "Oh shut up," she spouts. She zips out of the cell, appearing in front of the guard, drawing her fist back. The guard flinches, his instincts cause him to swipe his stick, but she disappeared. He shakes his head, "wha-?" His eyes go blank as Laurene appears beside the man, fist strongly pressed against the man's side, knocking him out quick. He drops to the ground, along with the stick. She reaches down to grab it, holding it in her hand, "there we go."

The other guard returns, jaw dropped as he decodes the situation before him. He quickly pulls out his stun stick, clicking it on, "what the hell?!" Laurene slowly approaches the man, stun stick tight in her hand, "you want to die? I can kill you easily...I told you, I'm a demon, I'm ruthless, a murderer, I'll KILL you." The guard shakes in fear, dropping the stick, raising his hands, "okay, okay! I'm sorry! Please, just don't kill me!"

Laurene smiles to herself, chuckling silently. She walks past the guard, and out of the cell area. She moves through many hallways, it seemed not to be a jail, but more of a detainment center. She approaches the front desk, except...she was behind it. A young, kind looking woman heard Laurene's footsteps, she turns to her, flinching slightly at her sight.

"Ma'am-?" She stutters, grasping for words. "Where's the exit?" Laurene asks. The woman timidly points towards the front door, which was right in front of the two. She should've guessed. "Thank you," she says, smiling kindly at her, before leaving the building.

She almost instantly recognized the area she was in. It was her old town, flourishing with life, unlike before. She gets distracted for a moment, happy for the town's recovery, but she remembers her task. She stuffs the stun-stick into her pants, hiding it. She sighs, "okay...here we go."

She walks through the town, trying her best to avoid suspicion. The town was bustling, like before. It was unnerving how calm this place was, considering the pure chaos she witnessed hours prior. She didn't know if any demons made it out of town, or rather, if the humans spared any demons. She felt disgusted to be among their kind, considering the ruthlessness of humanity.

She was spared, and for what? Because she was an angel? What did it matter? She didn't know. As she walked through the town, she asked herself again and again. Unsure of the status of town, she worriedly wonders out of THIS town.
