I can't let that happen

It was mid night when Sidharth woke up as his throat dried.
He got up from the bed and noticed the jug was empty.
He went to get some water.
As he entered the living room he found shehnaaz sitting on the dinning table.
Her head was on the table and hands crossed under her head.
Her eyes were open but there was not a single movement.
She didn't even notice him.
SIDHARTH'S POV
Aise kyu baithi hai yeh ?
Or kya mein isse dikh bhi nahi raha hun ?

Sidharth took some water and was about to leave when he unintentionally dropped a glass which shattered on the floor making shehnaaz come out of her traces. She immediately got up and moved towards the kitchen in a rush .
She noticed Sidharth standing there and glass pieces shattered on the floor.
She took a sigh of relief seeing him...
Sana- aap thikh hai ?
Sid- haan wo bus galti se gir gaya !
Sana-( notice he isn't wearing any footwear ) kya karte hai aap bhi ? Chappal bhi nahi pehni hai ... ab wahi ruk jaiye !
Mein saaf kar dun nahi to lag jaegi aapko ..( she said chantingly)
Shehnaaz took a broom and cleaned all the glass pieces while Sidharth looked at her in amazement...For the first time he noticed how nice her voice is.
How much care she holds for him....
SIDHARTH'S POV
Yeh kyu kar rahi hai itna ?
Mein jitna bhi bura kardun iske saath yeh fir bhi mera kitna dhyaan rakhti hai ...
aisa kyu ?
Itni buri hai yeh firbhi itni acchai kyu dikhati hai yeh ?
Agar mein iske saath itna bura karta hun to yeh kyu nahi karti mere saath ?
Kyu mera har zulm seh leti hai yeh ?
Aaj subah bhi isne ek baar bhi khudh ko sahi sabit nahi karna chaha !
Yeh ladki mujhe bahut ajeeb si uljhan mein daal deti hai ...
Ek aisi uljhan jisse mein dur bhi nahi reh pata hun or nahi uske paas ja sakta hun

Sana- aap jaiye so jaiye !
She threw the pieces in the bin ...
Shehnaaz turned and found Sidharth still standing there ...
Sana- aapko kuch or chahiye hai kya ?
Sid- aa... Nahi...
he left ...
Shehnaaz went back to the balcony and laid down ...
FLASHBACK ! (Shehnaaz to so gai thi neeche dinning area mein kaise Pahuch gai ?)
Shehnaaz was half asleep when she heard some noise.
She got up and looked around but there was no one.
She got afraid ...Shehnaaz then moved into the bed room.
But she couldn't get where to sleep ... she cannot sleep on the bed nor on the sofa so she went into the dinning room.
She tried sleeping but couldn't due to fear. Shehnaaz always had a fear of unknown sounds at night. Any sound that she cannot find a source of, freaks her out.
Flashback ends
Her eyes were wide open while her mind was still in daze. She wasn't in a condition to notice him standing on the balcony entrance.
He was just looking at her. He could feel the cold breeze hitting. He immediately started to shiver in the cold night.
SIDHARTH'S POV
Itni thandh hai bahar to ... isko thandh nahi lagti hai kya ? Or kitna patla sa kambal odhi hui hai ....

He left back to his room.
He always tries his best to ignore her , her needs , her pain , her existence but in all that he never forgot to hurt her and torture her for the mistakes she haven't even committed. But how in the world is he suppose to know anything about Shehnaaz ? They never had any conversations ....
communication is the key for any kind of relationship to bloom. Trust can only be earned by communicating , by talking  and sharing your thoughts with your partner.
Yes , trust , love , compatibility is also important but those are part of communication. Until and unless you do not communicate you don't know if the person is trustworthy or not , if he or she is compatible for you or not ? If they really love you or not ...
In their case , they never communicated.
Shehnaaz always had feelings for him from the day she first saw him.
The day he came with his parents to meet her for the first time. He already had decided to tell her to say no for marriage but he couldn't tell her that because of some time shortage. They got married to each other exactly after 3 weeks of their first meet. They knew nothing about each other , other then their names.
Shehnaaz did had some idea about him as he is a celebrity in business world. But he knew nothing about her.
In short they were just
"KEHNE KO HUMSAFAR"

SIDHARTH'S POV
I can't let this happen !
I just can't let her affect me ...
Jitna sochta hun ki duri banaye rakhunga , utna hi pass jane ka man karta hai kisi na kisi bahane !
Jitna dukh usse deta hun mein ... wo kabhi react kyu nahi karti hai ?
Abhi bhi itni thandh hai bahar per fir bhi ek baar apna dukh nahi dikhati hai ...
Ladti nahi hai , argue nahi karti hai ...
Koi complaints nahi hai ki ... kitni thandh hai bahar ?
Kyu accha banne ka dhongi kar rahi hai ?
Sid !! Tu kya kar raha hai ?
Tu fir uske baare soch raha hai ?
No... no... no !
I can't let this happen ...
I cannot get attracted towards her ....
Rashmi ! I love her and I need to stay loyal.
I just can't be unfaithful towards my love !!

Sidharth slept thinking about all this.
Shehnaaz was still wide awake.
Her fears , her insecurities were eating her up.
Where every one wish to have a protective partner, a person who can comfort you enough  and make you feel safe. She had fears , as her husband hates her and if she is any kind of problem he won't protect her , safe her but instead will leave her or would hurt or harm her more.
Shehnaaz's pov
Kuch saal pehle ka yeh haadsa aaj bhi mujhe dara deta hai ! 
Flashback
Shehnaaz was 7 at that time ,living with her parents.
As her father was a political figure , his life was always at stake.
One night , shehnaaz was home alone with just few servants and her dai maa ...
Her parents had went out for a political party and weren't home.
She was sleeping in her room when she heard loud noises which woke her up.
She got down the bed and went outside her room. Only to see three men covered in black and white clothes holding guns in their hands were searching for something or should say someone their faces were covered with masks making her not recognize them.
She was a movie person , so she could tell that they were not nice.
She freaked out and went to her bed room and hid herself under the bed.
She was too scared to do anything.
What can you actually expect from a 7 year old ?
She was shivering in fear. When she heard gunshots making her more scared and cry. She didn't knew if they are gonna do the same with her as well.
Person- kahan hai aap Mr.gill ? This is the day .... you will be killed along with your wife and your daughter !!
Shehnaaz understood what could happen with her if they caught her.
She then heard her fathers voice ....
Shp- kaun ho tum log ? Kisne bhejh hai tumhe ?
Person- aagaye Mr. Gill aap ?
And soon she heard three gunshots making her cry as she thought it might be for her parents. As she remembered the guns in those men's hands.
She cried 😭😭
She heard the door knob tickling and soon the door was wide open.
She freaked out and was soon unconscious!
The next day when she woke up she was in her mother's arm and her dad was holding her legs and rubbing them.
She started crying holding them together !!
So basically the gunshots she heard were of police officers who injured those three men's on their legs so they cannot run away or harm anyone.

Iss ek cheese ne mujhe Dara diya tha !
Tab Mumma papa the mere paas ...
Ab ?
"Kya ladkiyon ki shaadi hone ke baad maa baap ki zimmedari khatam ho jati hai ?"

She couldn't sleep the whole night and was just waiting for her alarm to buzz so she can wake up!

It was 5 in the morning when the alarm buzzed. Shehnaaz didn't sleep at all ! She turned the alarm off and started her routine. She was already tired and exhausted but who cares ?
She did all the chores and went to wake Sidharth up.
Sana- Sidharth uth jaiye ...
Sid- thodi der or bus please !
Sana- uth jaiye nahi to mujh per hi gussa karenge aap ...uthaya kyu nahi mujhe shehnaaz ? Ab late ho jaunga mein tumhari wajah se ... so careless you are ( she said mimicking him and his voice )
Sidharth opened one of his eyes and looked at her who was still mimicking him.
He smiled looking at her and her cute mimicking.
He got up and shehnaaz looked at him at the same time. Her words died in her mouth while her mouth was wide open.
As she was about to speak more.
Sid- muh band karlo nahi to makkhi ghus jaegi ...( he said smiling at her )
Shehnaaz closed her mouth and kept the food tray on the table.
Sana - mein abhi aati hun ...
His smile ... his damn attractive smile.
Something she cannot resist. She may want to kill him at moments or Slap him across his face but his damn smile can change all of her intentions.
She left the room ....
Shehnaaz's POV
That smile, the very first time I saw you , you were greeting my parents with a wide smile and bright sparkling eyes.
I wish that I would have stopped looking at you that exact moment but I couldn't and now still that is the thing that makes me go crazy for you. Your damn attractive smile. It does something to me , some sort of spell. Whenever I see you smile , I start avoiding you.

Sidharth got ready and decided to get to office early. He picked his files and moved out and at the same time Shehnaaz entered the room , both got bumped and looked at each other.
Sid- DEKH ke ! ( he said softly )
Sana- hmm
Sid- phir se sar takrao...
Sana- hein ? Kya ?
Sid- sar lada hai na , to kuch bura na ho isiliye dobara ladao.
Shehnaaz nodded and did it although she didn't believe in it but she did it for him.
Like this the whole day passed as Sidharth went to his office and got busy.
