Soul's POV:

I run down all of the halls and passages, but every turn I make I feel as if I'm the same place again.

"Why does everything here look the freaking same!" I yell sprinting down the hallways. Everywhere I go there are the same doors the same columns and same decorations. I don't take any chances with the white doors because they might lead me to the wrong place. If I make a wrong choice it will come to her first. Out of nowhere I see another passage but the doors are grey. Taking a chance I run down the hallway.

"You better be in here Maka!" I call but theres no answer. I run faster and further into the hall as the lights get dimmer.

"Maka! where ar-ow!" I look up and realize that I'm right in front of a light green door. I shake my head thinking it's a trick of the light but it's not. Taking another chance I turn the knob and walk in.

Smoke surrounds me and I realize that I'm back at the hospital.

"No I wasn't able to.." I stop mid sentence and see Maka next to a hospital bed looking at a body. My body! She's practically crying at my side as tears stain the blankets below her.

"Soul, I'm so sorry it's all my fault that you're in here. I was not strong enough to keep you alive." Maka pleads looking down on the body. I want to tell her that it's going to be alright but she doesn't seem to listen.

"I should have never inspected the cathedral then none of this would have happened."

"Maka it's not you're fault stop blaming yourself." I say as I walk over to her. I try to hug her but my arms go through as if I'm a ghost. I look down as Soul's body starts to scream as it turns from side to side. Maka's eyes widen as she immediately grabs my hand. Theres no doubt that I'm having another nightmare.

"Soul, I promise after you get back into shape I will do all in my power to get stronger for you." Maka says as she tries to hug my body.

Smoke surrounds me again as I am transported to another hallway the lights are practically off and the doors are a much darker grey but not black. I run down the halls knowing one thing: Maka will always blame herself for my actions. I try to keep running but I feel as if a force is pushing me back and every time I walk further it gets stronger. My legs are tired and ready to give out but I have to keep going or the demon will find her first.

I collapse onto the ground holding on to my last breaths.

"I'm sorry Maka." I say weakly. Out of nowhere something miraculous happens. A spotlight appears over top of an obsidian door.

She has to be in there. I think to myself as I weakly get up. Motivated to save Maka, my body fills with adrenaline as I run to the door. Even though the madness slows me down, I still keep running. It suddenly comes to the point where the madness is so thick it feels like I'm breaking down walls but I'm so close to the door.

After a while I am no face to face with the door. I extend my hand to the doorknob but madness blocks me from getting any closer. Not losing hope I extend my arm back and punch through the force grasping the doorknob. I twist it and finally walk in, but nothing could prepare me for what is now before my eyes.

"MAKA!"
