" its like the end of an era "
- fluttershy 😼bonus chapter
A poet of stars gracefully weaved together with the dark night sky, providing some form of warmth to the coldness. It gave one a sense of tranquility, allowing their eyes to close and mind to rest in the comforts of their homes, cooped up under their blankets.
The couple laid down on the grass in the field, staring up as they watched the stars that glistened in the sky.
It was the kind of darkness that was good, allowing the stars to shine more prominently in the middle of the pitch black sky.
It was as if flicking a paint brush onto a black coloured canvas, forming an alluring scenary that allowed one to stop and stare in awe.
" It feels like the end," Chaeyoung softly spoke, craning her neck slightly to look up at the boy. Jaemin hummed, looking back down at her, a soft smile displayed on his lips.
" Come here," he opened his crossed arms, allowing the girl to lay her head on his chest while his arm circled around her waist. A seraphic silence encased the two, their hearts interwoven into one.
Subconsciously, Jaemin intertwined their hands, his thumb tracing small circles against her palm soothingly. A small smile decorating both their lips, a feeling of warmth surrounding the two as they stayed in that position.
The soft breeze blew, creating the kind of sound that brought one calmness. " Can you imagine how it would be like if I hadn't left that body in the cafe," Jaemin mused, taking in the serene atmosphere that encapsulated the two.
It was hard to have moments like this, being spied on or watched 24/7 being a mafia. But as much as the boy craved the adrenaline, it felt nice to have a moment of freedom, a moment without any worries. Just his lover and himself under a sky full of stars.
" But we would have met either ways, after all your enemy was my dad," Chaeyoung mumbled, slightly sad at the mention of her own - dead - father.
" Yeah...I'm glad that I met you though."
Chaeyoung lifted herself up slightly, turning around to face Jaemin with her chin rested on his chest instead. She looked up at him, eyes glistening with endearment while Jaemin's eyes reflected back the same emotions.
" You're really pretty," he murmured as he brought a hand up to place her loose strands of hair behind her ear. " My angel," he quietly whispered.
Jaemin was entranced by the girl's features, just quietly staring at her as she looked back, sceptical.
" Right...can't lie, it was nerve-wrecking coming into a house of 21 good-looking men, i'm no match," she joked, punching his arm playfully." But you're the only one pretty one in my eyes," Jaemin flirted, teasingly winking as he watched the girl bury her face in his chest out of embarrassment.
" Stop it."
" Bet."Chaeyoung let out a playful scoff, rolling her eyes as she pouted. She sat up, " I don't want to cuddle anymore," she sulked.
Jaemin shook his head, his eyes caught sight of her pouted lips. As if placed in a trance, he unconsciously leaned in. Their lips moulded together as if they were a puzzle piece, the longing to get closer than before and be ultimately attached to each other.
The kiss wasn't the forceful, harsh and meaningless kind though, it was sweet, the kind that held all the different words they wanted to say, the kind of emotions that needed time to unlock. It was as if the affection they had been yearning for coming in waves.
The two eventually pulled out, heavily breathing with their foreheads still touching. A giddy smile forming on both their lips, a light tint of red flushing their cheeks.
" Thank you, angel," Jaemin breathed, staring at her fondly. The moment replayed in his mind, making him grin.
" For what?"
" Everything, really."Chaeyoung could only look at him, raising an eyebrow, confused. " Thanks for showing me how to stay calm even when I'm angry," he started, hand grazing her jawline as he cupped her cheek.
" For staying with me even at my worse," he continued, thumb tracing her cheek bone delicately. " For teaching me how to love... and mostly..." Jaemin trailed off, tilting his head slightly as he savoured the moment.
It felt perfect, the intimate moment between the two lovers, below the captivating atmosphere. As if bewitched by the girl, he felt himself not being able to look away as she looked up at him in concentration; attentively listening to his words.
Chaeyoung's heart raised as she listened to his words, cheeks probably beetroot red by now. A soft smile grazing her lips. " What?" She inquired, getting impatient from the boy's long pause.
" Thanks for being my escape from reality."
