Chapter 2: Kumamoto City

You had arrived at Kumamoto City, by train and decided to rent an apartment, rather than get a hotel room. While Klaus and Robert were getting unpacked, you left them a note saying that you went for a walk and would be back soon.

As you were walking around Kumamoto City, you decided to enroll Klaus, Robert, and yourself in a high school. Afterall, a good education is important. As you were walking, you saw a dog running towards you, with a girl chasing it. Right before the dog could go into oncoming traffic, you picked it up, and the girl came.

She said, "Thank you so much, I don't know what happened." You told her, "Something must have scared your dog." The girl said, "Probably. Heinz has never run away from me before." She asked you, "What's your name?" You said, "Wilhelm Ründer." She smiled and shook your hand, while saying, "Maho Nishizumi."

You told her, "Maho. A beautiful name, for a beautiful girl." Maho blushed and you asked her,"Perhaps, the two of us could take a walk together some day or maybe grab some breakfast? Get to know each other better?" Maho smiled and said, "Sure, I'd like that." You smiled and Maho told you, "Sorry, I have to get going. My mother expects me back home soon." You simply nodded and said, "Of course. She's only looking out for you."

When Maho walked away, you asked yourself, "Was ist das, was ich fühle? Sind es Emotionen? Unmöglich, Vaters betrunkene Schläge hatten mir beigebracht, keine Emotionen und kein Mitleid zu haben. (What is this that I'm feeling? Is it emotions? Impossible, father's drunken beatings had taught me to have no emotion and no mercy.)"

You continued walking, and after a while, you asked an senior citizen, "Excuse me good sir, I was wondering if you could tell me where the nearest high school is. I'm looking to enroll my friends and myself." The man chuckled and said, "That would be Kuromorimine. But they're very strict, so I wish you luck." After the gentleman gave you the directions, you thanked him, and went to the school. You thought to yourself, 'How strict can they be? If anything, it will be relaxed compare to the strictness of the SS.'

After a while, you arrived at Kuromorimine and enrolled Klaus, Robert, and yourself into the school.

Time-Skip- The Next day

You and Klaus had woken up and gotten ready for school. You looked over at Robert and muttered, "Gott, was für eine Peinlichkeit. (God, what an embarrassment.)"

You picked up Robert's satchel and threw it at him. When the satchel hit him, he jolted awake and you told him, "Aufwachen. Wir haben Schule. (Wake up. We have school.)"

Robert asked, "Ich dachte, dass wir im Urlaub sind. Warum, in Gottes Namen, gehen wir zur Schule? (I thought that we were on vacation. Why in god's good name are we going to school?)" You replied, "Denn eine gute Ausbildung ist entscheidend, um im Leben erfolgreich zu sein. (Because a good education is crucial to being successful in life.)"

Robert got up, put on his SS uniform, and the three of you started walking to school.

Time-Skip- At Kuromorimine

You arrived at Kuromorimine, and went to the main office to confirm your enrollment. After they confirmed the enrollment, they told you that your Kuromorimine uniforms would arrive in two weeks. You nodded and proceeded to your first class, which ironically was psychology.

You, Klaus, and Robert walked in and introduced yourselves to your teacher. He told you that today, you would be practicing in groups of three. The exercise was simple. You had to extract information from the test subject by using only psychology.

Klaus said, "Diese Übung wird einfach sein. Wir machen das praktisch jeden Tag. (This exercise is going to be easy. We practically do this everyday.)"
