"Let's go, girls!" Miss. Abby yelled, "Come on, ladies! Come on, girls, let's go! Get in here!"

After a very long day at school, I was back at Miss. Abby studio for another week of drama.

Pyramid was going to be interesting today after what happened at the competition. Chloe had texted me and Maddie telling us that she was sorry for her mom's behavior. Mom and Christi still haven't talked.

I sat down next to Chloe because no matter what was going on with the moms we were still best friends. Then I looked up at Miss. Abby to see what she was gonna talk to us about.

"First, I'm gonna talk about this past weekend. I am very disappointed. Every single one of you could have done better in your solo. Moving on, I want to forget about last weekend. What's gonna happen this weekend?" Miss. Abby says as she turns around the whiteboard.

Paige put her fist in the air and said, "It's the ALDC Showcase."

"Thank you. Yes."

The pyramid, I wasn't surprised by. But I was happy that I was getting closer to the top.

Maddie

Monica Brooke Nia

Chloe Paige Vivi-Anne Mackenzie

I was so excited for the Showcase. The ALDC Showcase was a big part of the competition season. We get to show a lot of people and our families our dances.

"We're doing the new number, Sugar Daddies," Miss. Abby tells us, "at the showcase. Maddie, you won the overall high score at the competition. Boom. Monica, won the overall high score for the junior category. Nia, forgot the solo, kept dancing, made it up, went on, finished with the music. Chloe, did a great job. There were some other situations. You're here. I want to see that attitude improve on stage. Yes? You never know who's watching you."

What did Miss. Abby mean by that?

"All right," Miss. Abby continued, "I have a few surprises during the showcase. I don't want to pressure you, but in the audience, at the showcase, is going to be an agent coming to seek new talent and looking for new clients to sign."

I looked at Maddie then at Chloe. An agent here, in Pittsburgh? This was insane!

The girls and I shouted and clapped our hands at this news. All of us had dreams to work in LA or in New York someday being a singer, actress, or a broadway dancer, this person can make it happen for us.

"Moms," Miss. Abby says after we calmed down from the news, "you are going to be performing in the show, as well."

We are shouting and clapping again. The moms performing in the showcase? This is gonna be a fun week.

"Oh, Cathy, you're going to be the choreographer."

We all laughed and bickered about how funny it's gonna be to see the moms dancing.

"Nationals are getting closer and closer," Miss. Abby tells us, "With every competition, you get better and you get stronger. So, this showcase is gonna be a nice chance to entertain rather than compete. But it all is leading up to nationals, because we want to do what?"

"Win!"

"You got it! All right! Go head, you're dismissed. Guys, up. Sugar Daddies."

Sugar Daddies is going to be a harder routine to learn because we have to dance with props. The routine is also a pop-jazz number which we don't do very often.

Working with a prop is hard enough, we have Miss. Abby yelling at us every couple seconds about emotional execution.

But the day was fine overall, no mommy drama and no Miss. Abby dramas so when there's no drama, everythings better.
