Song Mingi was a traitor.

The crowds began to scream as the Takers wasted no time to fall below to where the swarms of people were. It immediately turned into a massacre. They preyed on the people and began to choke them at their throats. They slashed them with their weapons and some had blood exploding from every hole of their body as they were being taken. There was so much blood, so much death.

Bloody.

I could only stand and watch as it all unfolded, the pulse in my shoulder beating hectically. My lip quivered. It was happening again and I was letting it happen. So much fuzz filled my head.

"Star." Elara's voice came in warning.

There was a loud thud from behind me, what sounded like someone trying to break down the doors. A chill went up my spine, it was most likely Takers. Yet, I couldn't bring myself to move, so captivated and shocked at what played out in front of me.

Someone grabbed me by the shoulders and yanked me. Suddenly, Leeyon was in my vision. Her serpentine eyes didn't look as vibrant of a green as they had, but she still gave me a glare. "Come on! Pull yourself together!" She was shaking me.

I moved a little bit then, looking to the door that was being banged against with Elara pressed up against it, sword drawn. She was gritting her teeth but her blind eyes somehow looked to me then.

"Go! Get out of here!" She yelled over the screams.

Leeyon was yanking on me before my feet pulled me forward. Fuzz filled my head then and, the next thing I knew, Leeyon and I were both hurtling over the railing of the booth we were in. We were plummeting to the scattered crowds of color, black, and crimson. Leeyon and I both transformed our clothing into armor and blades flashing in our hands before we both reached the ground and wreaked havoc.

I didn't register how many Takers I'd plummeted through. It was a mess of guts and heads as I slashed through one and stabbed the other. I sent my magic souring in lashes of gold, silver, and black and relished in the blood they dropped. Bloody, but this blood was worthy of being spilled. They were monsters and my rage agreed with every single blow. Leeyon was drenching in blood and I could only imagine I looked the same. She drove her blade into one Taker and slashed through the head of another Taker with a thrust of white water. We remained back to back as we fought, gold and aqua. Night sky and the sea. And the crazed faces of the Takers never reached our necks.

"Mingi." I suddenly heard Leeyon's deep and enraged voice speak.

Somehow, it became apparent that the Serpent never loved the Timber Wolf. I couldn't focus on the questions that came with that thought as I fought. I could only offer a small glance up over my shoulder to the pedestal where Mingi was. I hadn't had a chance to gaze up towards this when chaos had broken loose and I'd imagined Mingi to be gone. But Mingi still stood there, arms still outstretched as more Takers poured through the tears in worlds he held open. I could tell he was observing what was happening below where we were.

"I am going to kill that traitor." Leeyon voraciously spat. She spun her blades encased with white water and two Takers fell dead in front of her. I didn't have time to say a word as she vanished into the crowd towards the pedestal where Mingi still was.
