The sun was slowly making its way down, but all I could think about was Tommy. I drag Eret along through the forest, who doesn't seem to argue and follows idly. The silence wasn't broken until I caught glimpse of Tubbo and Fundy. I wrapped my arms around Tubbo and let out a small sigh of relief, before looking down to see Wilbur and Tommy facing the villain himself. We both lock eyes, before looking away. Eret stands next to me while I rub circles on Tubbo's back, who knew I'd miss them so much.

Tommy was watching me from a far, I waved at him with my free hand to which he returned. I smiled slightly before looking back at Dream sending him glares, to which I think he could feel because he looked directly at me. There was a final nod between both Dream and Wilbur, because let's be real. Tommy would just throw a well-deserved punch at the guy. As I watch them both ready their bows, I hide my head in Erets chest, tears welling in my eyes. I can't look, no, I won't look. I felt the world crashing down on me as Eret put a reassuring hand on my back. I didn't know him well, but he was the only one that didn't treat me like only live bait during my time in kidnapping.

'Backs to one another!' Wilbur called from afar, 'I will count to ten paces, and on the word fire you shoot. Do you understand?'

'Ready! One...Two...Three...Four' I couldn't watch, tears slipped past my cheeks. I was worried for Tommy; I know Dream could kill him.

'Five...Six...Seven...Eight...Nine' I sink down to my knees, being held up slightly by Eret, my legs couldn't support my weight anymore. Everything felt heavy.

'Ten Paces!'

'Fire!'

I could hear arrows being shot, and them whistling in the air but I knew who was going to win, I just didn't want to see the outcome. That's when I heard the splash and whipped my head around, I wanted to scream but I couldn't. The water stained a blood red, as Tommy sank slowly. I covered my mouth and fell to the floor, Eret not being able to hold me up anymore. I could hear Tubbo screaming while I clung onto Eret crying. Everything felt numb, I couldn't hear anything from Eret shouting my name, to Tubbo screaming for Tommy. I just stared at the ground, mouth closed and face wet from crying.

Dream takes large strides towards me and Eret, but I didn't care. I couldn't even look at him, probably wearing his usual cynical grin. 'Take her home,' I felt myself being pulled up, and dragged away. I couldn't breathe, I felt useless. I didn't stop it from happening, I should have...My eyes start to grow heavy and before I could warn Eret. Everything went black.

When I awoke, my whole body ached. No longer was I outside, I was in the same bed as the past few nights. I pulled myself up, removing the sheets from my legs. The door then opened to show SapNap, we haven't spoken often but he was nice most the time. 'Dream sent me to check on you, and you look like shit...' he says looking at me rather concerningly. 'He couldn't care less' I said, throwing myself back on my bed. SapNap then leaves, I could hear the click of the lock as he shut the door. I shut my eyes and threw the blanket over me, letting myself enter another sleep.

Later that night, I was woken up by the sound of the door and footsteps. 'Y/N' I open my eyes and look at the now visible figure. 'Dream.' I say with a sneer before facing away from him, 'I'd rather not speak to you of all people right now' 'I know, but I thought I'd tell you Tommy is fine' I turned to face him, my heart skipped a beat. Was he lying? He sounded sincere, but yet again it's Dream we're talking about. Dream moved my head, so it was faced with his mask, his lips were tugged into a reassuring smile. That's what kicked the bucket, I wanted to punch him so much but instead I found myself latched onto him and crying. He didn't stop me however, he stroked my head and let me. I could feel his fingers slowly running through my h/c hair, I wanted to hit him for shooting Tommy, for hurting my friends but instead I found comfort in him, I let out everything I had been bottling up. It wasn't fair... How he could confuse me, one minute he's harsh and the next he's my only source of comfort.

That night I had the best sleep in years, I woke up to the soft patter of rain outside. Stretching, I pulled myself out of bed and opened the door. Oddly enough, it was unlocked. I made my way into the hallway, large arms wrapped around my torso, pulling me into their chest. A small scream came from me as they tightened their grip. 'Good morning' I felt their warm breath against my neck, and they relaxed their hold on me. 'You're going to join me to a meeting with Wilbur tomorrow' he said with a smirk. God, I hate this guy sometimes.

We were making our way to L'manberg, with me trailing behind. I kept asking questions on the way there, which started to anger Dream as he started to pick up his pace. If I was to be stuck with him, I might as well have some fun with it. There was Wilbur waiting at the gates, 'I presume your surrendering.'

'What do you want?' Wilbur said, moving closer to be clearer. 'What do you mean?' Wilbur took a deep breath before looking into Dream's mask. 'What can we do to find middle ground?' Dream shakes his head and laughs, 'All I need is your little revolution to burn' Dream's smile grew wider as he stared at Wilbur. 'Or do you need some persuasion?' His hand slithered around my waist while his other handheld a sword to my throat. My eyes widened, surely Will would be smart enough to say no, my life wasn't worth giving up a whole country's freedom.

'No,' and just like that Wilbur leaves, Dream removes the sword from my neck letting me sigh in relief. I laughed nervously. Thank God, he didn't slice me; he looked down at me and chuckled. I frowned before standing up properly, walking away with Dream.

I guess the war isn't over just yet...
