dream big they say
never stop dreaming, because the day you stop dreaming is the day you stop living they say
what if those dreams are the reason you aren't living anymore just existing in the cruel bright glare of this world
a world where blankets are no more the only protection we need at nights to ward off the monsters
a world where my mind is not mine anymore neither are the dreams just the distant memories of the ones I cherished
you don't dream for yourself anymore in this world but you work for the dreams of others who wear a mask of love
because what else can you do in a world where dreams are a waste of time where hopes are dumped where innocence is laughed upon
but your mind will torture you bringing them up in times of need, those dreams will remind you of a time where your eyes twinkled and a time where you laughed
because you wanted to not because you had too
so I'm here to warn you against dreaming, don't fall in that trap because nobody but you will be left crippled out of it
