Hello Everyone! I'm so sorry for taking a while to update! I've been having a little bit of writer's block, so this chapter is kind of short. It's still longer than the last one though! Anyways, Enjoy!

"What are you doing here?" Erwin asks.

"I was just out... getting some air." You reply, scratching your head awkwardly.

"Oh, um I can go. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable."

"No, Erwin it's fine. Actually, do you want to talk— since we're here?"

You figure you might as well get this over with. You and Erwin move to a table secluded in the back of the bar to give yourselves a little privacy. It's only been a few days since you've seen him, but he looks exhausted. His normally clean shaven face is prickled with stubble, and his hair isn't combed as neatly as usual.

"Are you okay?" You ask.

"I guess? I don't know. I've been worried about you. I know you haven't been at work the past few days. I know you said you needed your space, but I was really concerned about you."

"I'm sorry that you're feeling this way, but there's no need to worry, I just needed a few days to clear my head, you know?"

"Yeah. Well, I guess I have some explaining to do." He sighs.

You nod your head so he can continue.

"So, the woman you saw me with—Hitch. We sort of had something going on before I met you. I've done a lot of business with her father over the years. It's sort of been on and off again whenever we were working in the same area, but it was never really that serious."

"Had you completely cut things off before we started getting to know each other?"

"Yes. After we spent the night together when we first met, I met up with her and officially ended eveything."

"But I saw her. That night... when you cooked for me, I saw her leaving your building. I didn't make the connection until the other night. Was she there to see you?"

"Yes, but it seems worse than what it is. She came by on behalf of her father to talk business, and she lost it once she figured out that I was dating someone else. We argued for a few minutes, and she left. Nothing happened, I swear."

"What about the party?" You ask.

"I don't know what was going on with her that night. She was drunk, emotional, and completely out of control. I promise it's completely over between her and I now. I should have come to you about it before, and I am so, so sorry about everything." His voice is raspy and his tone is remorseful.

"I truly appreciate you telling me everything. But... something happened that night after I left."
