Chapter 6

Hello all! I decided to add another somewhat short chapter before the ball/ gala part with a little bit of filler smut. I'm currently working on the new chapter now.

The days seemed to be passing in a blur, and the gala was drawing near. You pass by Eren on your way to the break room, and he doesn't even acknowledge your presence. His attitude towards you has been icy since that day he saw you on the elevator with Erwin. It's obviously no secret that it had an affect on his mood, but you didn't think it would last this long.

You're still not fully sure how you would feel about Eren if Erwin wasn't in the picture right now, but you value your friendship with Eren— and you don't want to lose it. You decide that you've had enough, and talk to Armin about it when you catch him on his break as well.

"Hey, Armin. Can I talk to you for a minute?" You ask him.

"Is it about Eren?" He responds.

You nod your head yes, and he lets out a big sigh.

"I'm not sure what his problem is, honestly. Whenever I've asked him what's going on between the two of you, he gets pissy about it." He says.

You decide to tell him about how Eren may feel some kind of way now that you're currently seeing someone. You don't go too far into details, just enough to let Armin know what's going on.

"Ah. I see. He's such a dumbass. I told Eren to ask you out months ago. He's just upset that he tiptoed around it for too long. It's his own fault." He deadpans.

You're mad. If Eren felt that way, why the hell didn't he say anything? He has absolutely no right to treat you any differently because you're dating someone that isn't him. He should have opened his damn mouth. You find yourself feeling flustered just like you were before when you were talking to Mikasa about him while dress shopping, but you still can't figure out why.

What is that?

"He'll come around, I'm sure. He's just stubborn as hell. But please, don't feel like you did anything wrong in this situation." Armin says as he pats your shoulder on his way out.

The day goes by quickly, and it's almost time to head home.

"Alright! Everyone have a good weekend! Thanks for all of your hard work today! See you Monday!" Said Ymir before she closed her office door and headed towards the exit.

"H-hey, you coming out tonight?" you can hear Eren ask hesitantly.

"Nope." you say curtly while packing up your bag to leave.

"I was hoping we could talk?" He says.

"Eren, I really don't have time for this right now. I didn't do anything to you, and you've been treating me like shit all week. I have somewhere to be. Now, if you'll excuse me." You say as you brush past him on your way out.

You peek back at him to see him with a pitiful, dumbfounded look on his face, but you don't falter in your words or actions as you stomp out of the office. You'll deal with him later. You really did have plans tonight— with Erwin of course.

You had been on a few more dates with him up until now. Tonight, he wanted to cook for you, and then you would both just relax for the rest of the night. You arrive at your apartment shortly, and you head straight for the shower.
