"Lucas, Lucas." A faint voice from beside me began calling out my name. I could recognise that voice anywhere, it was my precious angel, Alice. I could feel her small, fragile body begin to move trying its best to escape my grip.

How annoying, already trying to leave me. As she continued squirming I finally spoke,
"Be quiet, we're laying like this a while longer." I squeezed her harder so she could truly understand I had no intention of letting go.

"Please someone's coming." She practically begged, even in the dark I could see the cute face she made. Unknowingly I began to loosen my hold, by the time I noticed she had already sat up.

Standing up I reached my hand out, her hand was smooth, I didn't want to release it, I could see the longing in her eyes, she wanted so badly to stay with me.

As the shouting grew louder so did the light, whoever they were close to, I could feel rage grow inside of me once again, I'll tear every last one of them apart for waking me.

I was slowly shifting into my demon side when Alice grabbed my arm, holding her small body against mine. I had forgotten she was here, I couldn't allow her to even hear pain, it was as if she was a growing daisy, innocent and pure.

When I placed my hand on her head she smiled, almost as if she understood exactly what I was thinking, 'she was absolutely beautiful'.

Her hair was soft, even though she had slept on the forest floor it still looked perfect, not even a leaf. The sun began to rise adding a golden glow to her outline.

"Lucas?" My name leaves her mouth like a bird singing, "Lucas?" This time she pulled my arm closer to her,

"What?" I ask out surprised,

"The people there are from the temple, they must be looking for me. I must get going." Her voice wavered a little as if she wasn't sure what to say.

"I'll be back tomorrow." I whispered in her ear and let her go at last, I ducked behind a tree, watching with a longing in my body to follow as the men in white robes took her away. 'Was I going to last a day without her?'.
