"So how was your first day at school?" Mum asked the next day. I hummed eating from my bowl of fruit and yogurt. Mum crossed her arms clearing her throat.

"Eventful." With an answer like that she smiled leaning over the counter. "No boys mum. I like my English teacher." not looking up I glanced at the time and had one last mouthful. "I'll be back a little late. I'll be checking out the swim team."

----

Stiles and Scott were talking on their way to business class. Stiles was convinced there was something sinister about (Y/n), no one could be that outcast the first day at a new school.

"I'm telling you, Scott something is different about that girl," Stiles said but Scott wasn't convinced.

"You felt a zap to your heart when you shook hands so what, we've got more to worry about right now." with the full moon coming and finding out about the volt in beacon hills bank Scott wasn't interested in the new girl. "Maybe you just find her attractive."

"Maybe I find her attractive!? Scott have you seen her everyone finds her attractive, she's a mysterious hot loner who I think tried to give me a heart attack." The pair spotted her in line to walk into the business classroom and they stared.

"With a handshake?" Scott questioned again and (y/n) glanced behind her. They both slammed against the wall hiding behind Danny.

"YES! I'm telling you something is off. She could be a... I uh some sort of electric bug I don't know." Stiles whispered and Scott laughed at his best friend tapping his back.

"If it makes you feel any better we can spy on her at lunch."

----
Following the crowd towards the business classroom I felt some eyes on me. Turning around I saw to boys not so subtly move behind another person. One being Stiles. Flicking back to the classroom I sat down towards the back and I watched as they both sat in front of me. There were a few murmurs from the two of them but I didn't listen. Sketching in my notebook there was a sudden slam of a textbook on the front table.

"The stock market is based on two principles. What are they?" the guy who knew stiles raised his hand and I just lazily put my hand to my chin. "Yes, Mccall you can go to the bathroom." Raising an eyebrow Mccall pushed he knew the answer and only got a laugh from the teacher. "Oh, you're serious."

"Yeah, it's risk and reward." The teacher was very surprised. Continuing my drawing I didn't pay much attention until a coin was placed on my desk.

"Ok, how about you. (l/n). If you can flip the quarter into the mug I'll let you skip detention for not paying attention." sighing I flicked the quarter from my seat and it landed in the mug four desks away. Everyone gaped at me and I just looked back down at my notebook. "I uh... No one likes a smart ass."

"You told me to flip the coin and I did." Breathing this out to myself he turned around just before the door opened and the sheriff from yesterday was here. Stiles left the classroom and for most of the class risk and reward was demonstrated.

----
I was being followed around, by someone. Maybe one of the creeps from business class. Not that I cared, I'd gladly mention it if they got closer to me. But nothing happened, all my other classes were boring and only when it came to after school when I got to try out for the swimming team did I have any fun. I made the team, obviously but since there wasn't practice most people left after four. The pool was nice, I could float here for hours but I need dinner.

We ate dinner as a family, talking afterwards mum said she'd hoped I'd made a friend or two by now. Since it was a new start. But I never agreed to anything. She kept going on and on about it throughout dinner until I stood grabbing my car keys.

All this put me in a bad mood so, in the end, I left the house deciding to take advantage of the school's pool since we got access to a side door without tripping any alarm. Parking away from the single car in the parking lot I went straight for the door. It was silent, beautiful. Smiling to myself I dropped my bag and shoes by the stands and went straight for the pool.

Still, in my normal clothes, my feet touched the surface of the water but didn't break through. Under my feet, it felt solid as I walked along the water. A happy sigh slid past my lips before hearing a loud bang. Sprinting across the water to the edge when peering through the swimming pool doors I didn't see anything. Frowning while opening it I watched as a werewolf ran past down the next hallway. Mums mentioned werewolves before but I've never seen one. The next person to run past was also a werewolf but glanced over at me. Having a staring contest for a moment I broke eye-contact for. Gasping lightly I went back into the pool not wanting to fight anything but was never chased.

Okay never come to the school late at night. No matter how nice the large pool is.

-----

Scott shut his locker while Stiles was staring off at (y/n) who was sitting outside with her headphones in.

"Are you sure she saw you?" Stiles repeated to Scott for the fifth time making the wolf teen sigh.

"Yes, Stiles she saw both me and Boyd down the hall." Scott turned to see (y/n) who wasn't fazed at all. Just reading a book while listening to some music.

"Then why is she acting like nothing happen. That isn't something you just forget." Stiles was getting anxious for some reason and didn't know why. He should be worried about other things like how he was still a virgin.

"We could talk to her," Scott suggested getting a blank expression from Stiles.

"If you haven't noticed most people aren't comfortable talking about their nightmares." Scott ignored Stiles going over to the doors outside.

"And what if she's like me, you said it yourself she's different. Maybe she's a werewolf." Stiles glanced between (y/n) and Scott before scratching the back of his head.

"Fine, we talk to her."
