Jess's pov: I woke up this morning at 7:30 and josie was just waking up I herd her yawn and it was adorable. I came out to see her cooking breakfast before we go to our signing at 10 We ate and talked about the day and then we did some horse choruses and left she drove
Today was the day I'm gonna ask her out on a date I said in my head
Josie's pov: we were driving over to the signing venue and on the way there he grabbed my hand and held it the whole way there it made me feel like I was the only one in the world honestly, I kissed on the cheek and said see you in an hour or two since our Booths were at different spots and I met up with ivy
Ivy: so what's going on with you and Lockwood
Me: honestly ivy I don't know but I really like him and he said he really likes me so I'm hoping we'll go on another date soon
Ivy : he's a great guy for you since your like and old women
Me: oh my lord ivy
We both laughed
Jess's pov:
After leaving josie I met up with cooper, Derek and jb and during the signing they all asked me what was with me and Josie
Jb : so Jess what's up with you and josie
Me: man I like that girl a lot she's got my heart
Cooper and Derek : aww Jess is in loveeeeeee ooooooo
Me: oh my god guys
We all laughed
Time skip till after the signing
Josie's pov: tonight I rode at 6:30 and Jess rode at 9:00
So he came with me per usual and walked me down the ally and once again took and amazing run
Announcer : holy cow this cowgirl is on a role she's got a real shot at winning everyone give it up for her !!!
Jess : you did it josie that was amazing you gotta make 3 more runs like that's dm your golden
Me: I know I'm so excited , now you go get ready for your show
Jess: okay josie meet you in the trailer
Ivy: josie your on a role girl
Me: I swear to god it's this horse I'm doing anything different
Ivy : I know the feeling girly
I cooled trigger and did both my horses chores and met Jess in the trailer
He was ready
Me: okay Lockwood you got this
Jess: I know I do
We walked over to the venue
We both got our passes
It was his turn we walked up I kissed him on the cheek and whispered in his ear " you got this Lockwood"
He smiled with his arms wrapped around me
He got down in the chutes and rode another 8 seconds and made 90.75 points we all hooted and hollerd for him I met him back I the locker room I waited for everyone to leave to go in I ran up and scared him from behind he jumped and turned around and a smile lit up his face and he said " where were I thought you had left"
" no I just waited so I could do this"
I kissed him it lasted a few seconds
He replied " that was worth waiting for"
I giggled we didn't want a bunch of people to know yet so we were just telling our friends about what we were doing we weren't officially a couple but we are exclusive
We walked back to the trailer holding hands when we got there he lead me to the truck and I asked what are you doing
Jess's POV:
Josie: what are you doing
Me: I'm talking you on a date
Josie : okay me Lockwood where
Me: oh you'll have to wait and see
Josie: oh so it's one of thoose dates
Me: yes ma'am it is
I took her to my favourite diner here and told her to stay in the truck for a minute and I went and picked up our food and kept driving to the highest point in oaklahoma and we ate in the back of the truck
Josie: why'd you take me here
Me: because at night it's almost as beautiful as you
I blushed and smiled
Josie : I love this
Me: love what
Josie : everything, my life is going amazing right now
Me: me too but I could think of one thing that could make it better
Josie : what's that
Me: josie you make me so happy and I want to be with you only you would you be my girlfriend , put a label on us and go public
Josie: that sounds amazing I'd love to I'm tired of hiding I'll call mother now
Josie's pov:
I'll call my mother now I said
Mom: hey josie awesome run tonight we are all watching
Me: thanks mom I have somthing to tell you
Mom: go for it
Me: I met a guy and he makes me so happy I can't even begain to explain his name is Jess Lockwood he rides bulls in the nfr we met because when I naught my ranch his ranch is my sister ranch and we share land
Mom: that's great I'll tell your father we love to meet him sometime
Josie: he'd love to meet you to bye mom love you
Mom: love you to sweetheart
Me: okay Jess I did it I feel free
Jess: okay I'll call my parents now and my brother
He says while laughing
Jess's POV:
Mom:hey Jess
Me: hey are you with dad and jake
Mom: yes I am
Me: okay call them close to the phone and put me on speakerphone I have an announcement to make
Mom: okay sweetie there here
Me: okay remember the sister ranch to mine
Them: yes
Me: okay so a girl my age bought the place and we share some land and she's in the nfr and we got really close at home and Um she's the one I really like her and I just wanted to let you guys know
Then: awwwww we are all happy for you and congrats on your ride tonight love you bye
Me: love you bye
Me: okay we did it were public to our families now fans
I say stressed because somtimes they react badly not that it matter because we are very happy when all of a sudden she grabs my hand and leans her head on my shoulder
Josie : it's gonna be alright
Me: I know
