Josie's POV: I was making lasagna in pretty good at it I love to cook especially Noe that I'm all alone it give me comfort. I really hope he likes it he's so handsome.
Jess's pov: I just got the call from josie to say dinners ready I said I'd be over in 5 minutes I put my cowboy boots on and drove over I really hope she gives me a tour of her property it's beautiful and so is she
Josie's POV: I hear a knock as I set the last stuff on the table I run and open it for Jess he walks in says how good it smells I thank him
We sit down and I serve the plates and ask him if he wants a beer he does so do I
Me: what's it like being a world champion Lockwood
Jess: I geuss it's pretty cool not that different so what's your story
Me: I just got my pro permit a few months ago two days after I turned 19 and then I bought this place and when rodeo season starts I'm gonna go to all the barrel races I can and just pray I make it to the nfr that would be my dream .

Me: hey before you go would you like me to give you a tour of the place since you know we'll be helping each other out . I said handing him another beer
Jess: I was hoping you'd ask. He says taking it and smiling
God I think to myself that smile is killing me
I give him a tour of my 16 stall horse barn and massive indoor arena and on the way over to the heifer barn I could tell he was a bit tipsy after all he drank five bud lights and I only had 3 so I geuss we are both a little tipsy he grabbed my hand when he heard my speaker system that was wired all around my ranch play boot scootin boogie by brooks n Dunn and said " come'on let's dance girl" I laugh and dance
Jess's POV
I don't even know what I'm doing but I'm glad I asked her to dance and very glad she said yes I think I'm gonna ask her on a date
Josie's pov: after we were done dancing and the tour was done I walked him to his side by side since we have that dirt road that connects us no point of taking a truck if it's only a few seconds
I say " I'm glad you came"
He said " me too we should make this a thing, hanging out more often I like you"
" I reply with "I like you too"
I turn for a second and look at the stars and turn back around to be meet with his lips I think omg I just kissed Jess Lockwood
Jess's POV:
She turned her head for a minute and I knew this was my chance I leaned in and met her lips they were soft like I had previously imagined and she kissed back it last a second but after I said " goodnight dear"
She said goodnight Lockwood" and smiled
Her smile was to die for
I drove home thinking about her all night
